A nice 8 hour game. H-scenes are almost all guro following the atmosphere and types of enemies in the game. Gun play feels pretty specific. If you're looking for a short adventure in a new setting this one is decent

You'll love it in many ways. The levels can be a bit easy to pass, but it's a worth ride.

I kinda went into this thinking that this was going to be a pretty lame game, but after playing it I came away feeling like this is a really great game. It's not amazing or anything, but it's a solid game. The art is beautiful, the soundtrack is this haunting sort of soothing ambience. The environments are interesting to look at. It's a surprisingly cozy game, too. It could stand to be a little harder. Combat is very manageable, and the levels are pretty much just hallways, and the story is your standard post-apocalyptic Sci-fi anime plot du-jour, but if you want a cozy little side scrolling shooter with cyberpunk anime titties and really weird gun choices, then you can do a lot worse.

I can safely say that Cyan Brain is an incredibly monotonous, artificially padded experience made with zero passion.
The core mechanic is tedious: move forward, shoot an enemy off-screen, and run backward. The weapons feel completely lifeless with no satisfying feedback, differing only in basic statistics.
The game respects neither your time nor your patience. The levels drag on for far too long, consisting of endless linear hallways with copy-pasted background assets. Instead of real exploration, it forces you into constant, empty backtracking.
Once you strip away the weak gameplay, you are left with shock value that quickly crosses the line from dark sci-fi horror into something downright repulsive. The way the game handles the protagonist's death is unnecessarily edgy and broken. Watching the character get brutally butchered, dismembered, and then displayed completely naked—heavily implying sexual assault post-mortem—is just distasteful.
Cyan Brain relies entirely on gore and cheap provocation to sell a fundamentally boring product. The price tag is a total rip-off for lazy, copy-pasted hallways.

Good artwork, excellent themes, very consistent. The banner images and vids are a good representation of the game. It's exactly what you're getting. And on easy even I can play it.
That said, saves feel punishingly few and far between. I would prefer a rewind mechanic that doesn't lose you several minutes on each death. Fear of dying then makes me slow-walk and back off on every enemy, making the gameplay slow and actually a little boring.
I would have also preferred localized voices. The japanese voice actors all sound like 12 year olds which is not what I'm looking for in death-moans in a cyber-sex game...
Still, on the whole I would recommend this.

My absolute favorite side-scroller H-game. Almost all of the H-scenes are defeat scenes, with only a handful that aren't. Even setting the H-content aside, this is simply a fun side-scrolling action shooter.
The allure of its dark and tragic story, set within a dystopian world, is what first enticed me to give this game a chance. The art is captivating, and the world feels cold, unforgiving, and indifferent to your suffering. The environments are filled with deadly hazards that can brutally punish a single mistake, reinforcing the harsh nature of the setting. The enemy designs are fantastic; every design feels distinct, memorable, and easy to become attached to despite the fact that you'll inevitably be fighting them. Exploring the unknown and gradually uncovering how this world came to be kept me invested from beginning to end.
I absolutely love this game and would highly recommend giving it a try if you haven't already.

Genuinely one of the best NSFW games I've ever played.
The only major complaint I have is that combat can get a bit old for long stretches of play, mostly due to the same enemies being lined up one after the other in many areas, but it gets the job done, and the care put into the guns' animations and sounds do a lot to make up for that to me.
The music, visual design, and artstyle are all amazing. You can really tell how much care the dev had with everything made for the game. The voice acting (both for the NSFW scenes and story scenes) is very good as well.
The story is pleasant to read through, but isn't the game's strongest point in my opinion. I enjoy it, and like the themes I believe it's going for. It's very nice for a game like this to not shy away from trying to be something complex with its story.
The NSFW scenes themselves are well animated and voiced, though are very, very niche in terms of what typically makes it into an NSFW game. Be sure you know what you're getting into before you try the game.

It's good. But geez is it graphic. This is 75% Guro and 25% Hentai. If you don't like extremely detailed gore this is not for you. The Hentai takes a back seat pretty much the whole game, other than the clothing damage.
Gameplay wise its simple and I enjoyed it up until the last 2 levels. They were kinda long.
Also unsure if I missed 2 guns because I had 2 empty slots still at the end.
