I love this game. It's old but I still enjoy the game. I like the turn stuff.

It is impossible to build and execute a strategy, the AI opponents are insane so that you cannot build resources and end up in a corner having to react to constant attacks and everything is held by your fingertips. There is no possible way the AI has the resources to act the way they do.

3 Dollars for this classic masterpiece? Sold. This game still amazing and provides hours of game play. You can play the campaign, a custom map, or just defend/attack against castle sieges. You can also make your own maps.

I got this game as a gift for Christmas back in 1996 when I was twelve years old. My family didn't have a lot of money, but my father had made the sacrifice to buy me a PC three years prior so that I could start learning to use it. I played this game for many, MANY happy hours on that old Packard Bell, and I still come back to it every once in a while today. It's a bit simplistic by today's standards, I suppose. The graphics are dated, and the gameplay is slow and straightforward compared to modern strategy titles. I don't care. This is still a great game, and it's excellent that it's available on Steam for such a great price. If you're the sort of gamer who stays goosed on Adderall so that you can maintain the nigh shamanistic levels of precognition necessary to play the fast-paced, razzle-dazzle games of today, you'll probably want to give this a pass. If you're an older gamer looking for a nice nostalgia trip, a younger one looking to experience what PC gaming was like at its inception, or just someone who wants to experience a decent strategy title for less than a bag of chips will cost you these days, give this a try. If you enjoy this, do a Wikipedia search for other games published by Sierra back in the 90s. They have an impressive catalog that goes all the way back to 1980, and more and more of their work is available here on Steam. King's Quest, Lords of the Realm/Lords of Magic, Shivers, Lighthouse: The Dark Being, Betrayal at Kronder/Antara, the original HALF-LIFE (developed by Valve but published by Sierra), and Homeworld are just a few that are still worth checking out, and can be had for just a few dollars.

This is such a classic game ahead of its time with the different strategies you can use. You are not forced to follow specific methods to win as there are some many variables you can work with to win. Brilliant game ahead of its time.

As a game I played back in the nineties, it's great to be able to play it again.

This is an old school game that isn't as easy as you think. It is a great game to play late at night while watching TV. I still have the original CD from decades ago.
