I have asked for this game to be refunded several times and Steam has refused.
This game fails to deliver on the promise of its promotional material.
The mechanics are confusing, the graphics are muddy and the overall game play is incredibly disorienting.
There are several ways in which this game fails to deliver on its promise under Australian Law.
I recommend not buying this game and exercising extreme caution when purchasing any game without a Demo.

The game is really fun and enjoyable in VR, however, the VR controllers do not function as a gamepad and you must use a xbox controller or something similar which is annoying, but I found a workaround, you can use IndeX360 to use your VR controllers as a gamepad. This works even with other headsets such as oculus quest. (Unfortunately there is no option to rebind the puase button though.)

Grip is a fine game, all things considered. It's got a very distinct identity for a racing game, but the physics engine really fights the fun sometimes. Here, just have some notes:
+ The track variety, and the number of alternates routes within each track, is very nice.
+ The car variety, and the customization system, is pretty good.
+ The AI is really good at racing. Like, oh boy.
+ Driving upside down and on walls can feel really cool at times.
BUT,
- Some of the tracks, in some places, are a nightmare to approach even with practice. You're meant to stick to the track as it corkscrews around, but if you nudge your car at all while it's in a twist like that, it flies off of the track and loses you an incredible amount of time.
- Sometimes you take jumps that seem like they'd be perfectly fine, but then the game thinks you're out-of-bounds and automatically resets your car to somewhere else.
- It's disorienting, even to my lifelong-gamer brain, when the car's rolling uncontrollably in the air and the camera's rolling with it.
- Trying to crash into other cars with your car, even when you're driving something with a high "strength" stat, is unsatisfying and often even bad for you. Sometimes you can nudge someone off a corner if you're on the inside and they aren't, but if you ram a car from behind, all it does is bring the other car up to speed with yours. The other car doesn't need to do much corrective steering. If vehicle damage is enabled, a full-speed ram still doesn't do any. And you don't get any points for ramming someone in a demolition event, either. Maybe I'm overstating it, but the state of the game's car crashes disappointed me.
So the game's not any magnum opus, but it's just fine if you're looking for a new experience. I bought it on sale, I played the whole campaign, and I'd call it worth the money and most of the time I gave to it, even with my complaints.

It was the same and better than the last game of the same developer of the PS1 game Rollcage. It was my childhood game and seeing it made into a modernise version and better mechanisms made my adulthood much more brighter.
I played it from time to time and got LVL 30 with the secret car. The best thing of this game is the hyperspeed. It makes the game much more fast pace and fun to race, though I notice the CPU players can't adjust to uptick of speed limit.
All I want to say is Thank you to the developers for making my childhood game an amazing reboot(?, unsure of the term)
Overall a fun race arcade game with 4 split screen players and 10 online players. Using a controller is recommended.
