Good expansion. Satisfying ending to the story. Lots of stuff to do post-credits. Great soundtrack.

Far too buggy currently. Constant quest locks, extreme lag.

Mixed feelings about this DLC, if it wasn't for the 2 new characters and the story (which you can simply watch online instead of wasting 40 bucks at it) AND the fact it locks away core features like the cube, then I would totally stay away from it... However, Blizzard did some Blizzard stuff and here I am reccommending it. Story is good, it takes around 2 hours to finish, the 2 new characters are extremely well made with creative design and skillset, Skovos is an interesting region with good new enemies and side missions, and that's how far the good goes. With the release of LoH Blizzard added 1 trillion new affixes to make sure you spend more time rerolling stuff than actually playing the game, and of course, the elephant in the room...The cube, because staring at smithy rerolls half of your gaming session was getting boring, now you move a few steps to go and reroll stuff at the cube. Cherry at the top is, this feature is locked behind this DLC. To keep it simple: -They added multiple damage multiplier affixes, therefore your gaming sessions in endgame will be 50% rerolls, 15% upgrading, 25% grinding resources/materials/gold 10% actual free gameplay. -Warplans is good on paper, but in reality only 2-3 of their upgrades actually make any difference -The 1300% xp boost on T12 is a joke, it's the same grind as it was back when T4 was max diff. They probably heavily reduced the base xp you get from enemies. So, 1300% increase is artificial -New DLC, new oneshot mechanics cuz Blizzard can't design a creative way to make enemies dangerous -The cube is interesting, but with all these affixes and you still cannot manually target one to reroll My point is that D4 became 150% more grindy and RNG dependant than it needed to be, I am pretty sure there is a better way to balance endgame replay value, warplans are good like I said, but a lot of their upgrades need rework, the cube is a good idea, but it's massively pinned down by the fact it's pure RNG, the only thing you can do is place a certain prism to target a defensive/offensive etc affix, but guess what happens when your 2h mace has 4 offensive affixes and you want to reroll, let's say, the "x25 critical strike dmg" affix...Well good luck getting it without rerolling the other 3 that are perfect for your build...Now reroll again until you get everything back again, now run a dungeon and get materials that ain't even that common like gold/obducite/forgotten souls.... Anyway, Overall: 5/10 Only buy for the classes and the fact blizzard locked core feature behind this dlc. Story is good but ain't worth mentioning, and skovos is just a good region, I could live without it.

I really enjoyed the Lord of Hatred expansion. It introduced a lot of new content, including a brand-new map, Warplans, and plenty of fresh activities that made the experience feel worthwhile. The addition of two new classes brought more variety and replayability, making it fun to experiment with different playstyles. The story was engaging from start to finish, taking around 5–10 hours to complete, which felt like a good length without overstaying its welcome. On top of that, the cinematics and in-game scenes were absolutely stunning, adding a cinematic feel that made the adventure even more memorable. That said, I did have a few complaints. First, the way you unlock Codex powers has changed. Previously, you could complete dungeons to earn them, but now you have to salvage legendary items instead. This means you have to grind more to unlock the powers you want, which feels less rewarding than before. My second issue is the overhaul of the progression and ability systems. While some players may enjoy the new mechanics, I personally preferred the old system, as the changes to abilities and progression didn't feel as enjoyable to me. My final complaint isn't about the gameplay but about the pricing. If you already owned Lord of Vessels, you originally had to pay an additional €40 to get Lord of Hatred. Now, both expansions are bundled together, but there still isn't a discount for players who already own one of them. It would have been nice to see some kind of upgrade price or loyalty discount for existing owners. Overall, despite these issues, I had a great time with the expansion. The amount of new content, the enjoyable 5–10 hour story, the two new classes, and the incredible cinematics easily outweigh the negatives. I recommend it 100%. (if u are a Diablo 4 fan)

Casual RPG fan and dad gamer here. I'm starting by saying LoH is peak D4. Played the game a little after release and while I did enjoy, it was nowhere near the fun LoH and the new endgame had to offer. It was overall a pleasant return to the game after being away for more than a year. Crafting is deceptively simple but has fine elements to it. For those who love cosmetics, the cash shop pricing is atrociously expensive but hey, I'm not hear to tell you how to spend your $$$ you do you. I paid for some myself. Game has a few bugs that need fixing, not game breaking but definitely could use some fixing. Tried POE 2 and I can say that if you are a casual gamer and want something a little easy to hop on to and provides good challenge and endgame enjoyment. Look no further!

After playing the main game and all the DLCs, I can say that Diablo 4 is very good right now. If you like ARPGs, it is definitely worth it because the gameplay is great, the dark atmosphere is perfect, and the map is huge. The level design looks beautiful, the story is very interesting, and the sound design is excellent. Also, as always, Blizzard made amazing cinematics. And of course, Mommy Lilith is the best <3. What I like the most is the variety of characters. There are many playable classes now, and you can make different builds. All these builds feel unique and different from each other, and they are all strong enough for the end game. The Skill Tree and the Paragon Board are also very good because they give you a lot of control over your character. Compared to Diablo 3, there is much more endgame content, so you always have something to do and grind for. However, the game has some big problems. The main issue is that it needs too much performance. It uses a lot of CPU and GPU power, and it requires a massive amount of RAM. You really need a strong and expensive PC to play it smoothly without lagging. Another thing is that if you played Diablo 3, you will see that some skills are just recycled and copied from the old game. Finally, the shop prices are a joke. The prices for the DLC packages, skins, and horses are way too high and unfair. In conclusion, it is a great game. Just ignore the shop and make sure your computer is strong enough to run it!

--This review tackles mostly the Single Player Campaign and the gameplay itself outside the ARPG grind/build crafting, but I'll tackle those a little at the end-- What an amazing journey. I've bought the game when this expansion was announced to pre-order and play as Paladin (don't do the same people, don't pre-order games, specially from Blizzard or 2K). I've played Diablo as a kid, without knowing what was goin on but I had a blast and I've been keeping an eye since launch on this one. After finishing the main campaign, Vessel of Hatred and Lord Of Hatred I wanted to leave my recommendation here for anyone that likes good ARPGs and amazing stories - this is very much worth it. The campaign was amazing, the pacing was great, and you can see other people here and there pointing issues or "plot holes", but if you give it a chance and immerse yourself within it, you are bound to have a blast. Lorath, Lilith, Neyrelly, all amazingly written characters that you grow to love. As with multiple games, if you forget the "product" part and immerse yourself in the story, without looking for cracks or having a "video game critic" lens on, it's an amazing experience. The gameplay is really nice, OST is fantastic, graphics are also great - altough a little glitch on textures during cutscenes. The grind/endgame as of now, Season 13, it's really nice. War Plans are really good and everything is as beginner friendly as it can be - I say this coming from a place where this is the first ARPG I've played in years and I'm not very familiar AT ALL with the genre. Classes, differently from PoE2 are not genderlocked and the number crunching is very maneageble once you get a grasp of the basic concepts. Overall, I wanted to write this review mainly to praise the story. It's so common today to play everything with a "overlycritic lens", trying to find cracks, nitpick things everywhere and we forget to just immerse ourselves in the journeys the game try to provide. Obviously, some people have their suspension of disbelief broken easier than others, but still. For me, and that's kinda the point of this review, I strongly recommend you give it a shot for the story/campaign at least.

This DLC has great visuals, cut scenes and moments. Map is fresh hair after 100+ hours spent on the base game map. I liked the story. Unfortunately it has some serious lagging moments even in a machine like mine (i'm also playing in 1440p). i felt almost forced to buy this DLC because a lot, A LOT, of content was locked behind it. Story was good and ended the cycle started in the base game, but it felt like it was somehow rushed or like it was a piece cutted off by the base game. Basically Diablo IV + VoH + LoH is the real Diablo IV experience and the first DLC will come out after this one imo. As i said map was a breath of fresh hair but i think it's too little and a lot of dungeons have the same pattern as D4 base game, just with a different texture. In italian language there is a VERY BAD audio management. Sometimes voices where too low while CS effects where uber high, sometimes the opposite. Glad i ended the story so i can lower everything at minimum and listen to music or podcast instead. also, without any spoiler, i wish they had started showing something or even just narratively placing the base for what it will comes after. Except if i missed it i have no clue on where the game is headed story wise. I wouldn't reccomend it if you are not interested in min-maxing or in seasons. D4 base game is still enough to have fun for hours if you like to experiment and level up different characters.

Campaign wasn't long but beautiful and there is a lot of things added for a returning player like me. 2 new classes, new grind stuff and a "new map" sized like 10 percent of original map were be able to fit one stronghold for scale. which was bugged for me but it's not the reason that i don't recommend it. it's just simply doesn't justify 40 dollar price tag and by the judging of amount of micro transactions in this game the only reason of this DLC being 40 dollars is just pure greed wait for a discount
