Touted by voice actor Gianni Matragrano as "Like VRchat for gamers," as nonsensical as that statement is, it does seem to be the case. The existing game modes featured are really solid games from a Golf-It clone with Workshop maps to an Arena Shooter with workshop maps, the workshop support seems to be slowly being implimented into most if not all games eventually.
The double edged sword is where it differs from VRC; the price and the nature of the Workshop supported content serve as a barrier for certain players and content it will certainly keep trolls out and the limits of the workshop moderation keeps any problematic models from being added (Unsolicited nudie models, "crasher" avatars, or anything emblematic of hate) but the 20 dollar price tag is quite a tall barrier of entry for what TU is compared to the free (in both meanings to a degree) alternative of VRC.
That said, Tower has draw in the Condo side of things. Play time, especially in games, translate to Units which you can spend on properties or decorations to make an in-game home look as cozy or demented as you want. Fill a whole condo with emulator machines (Which run surprisingly smooth for being a game within a game btw, that's some voodoo magic) or lewdie art if you want (as long as you tag it if it's open to the public), what you do with your condo is more or less entirely fair game.

I love how we are able to play a new virtual game that allows you to create your own avatar and homes. Hopefully we get more clothes designs or a neighborhood with other players!

Great game, community within the game is dedicated to it and you'll find random people on doing random things at random places. My only gripe with the game is if you are going to buy it, I recommend to have a friend buy it with you. It makes for trying out all the games and features much easier and makes for a more fun experience. Can't really speak to the experience of buying the game solo and having to make friends in the game (but it is pretty easy to strike up a conversation with anyone around). If you're chronically online, or looking for a social game with cool minigames you can waste your time on, this is the one for you.

Even though the devs sometimes make weird unnecessary additions to the game, free updates for eternity is fucking sick. Big fan of all the custom content in this game too! I just wish more people played some of the minigames.

This game should be way more popular and imo is one of the best virtual hangout spots with friends, idk anyone in the community and have never really tried to get involved with the community; other then tryna find a goofy player model and standing around the ppl that are actually tryna socialize in it. I haven't met any bad ppl, so honestly can't really say much on the community. Me and one friend go to the arcade, casino, play some minigames(mainly minigolf) every once in a while, or watch youtube while playing billiards. Good times, I always enjoy hopping in for seasonal events and collecting stuff.
I just got inspired to write a review bcs some coin pushing arcade game just came out and has overwhelmingly positive reviews rn, and I feel like if that game has overwhelmingly positive, then Tower Unite deserves the same bcs this game has an arcade too and so much more.

Really fun and cozy game! Lots of arcade and casino games to play, as well as actual minigames like go kart racing, a zombie shooter and many more. And the player housing system's really neat!

High quailty game but needs more room to make money in a reliable way, and there should be a player rating system where you can like people and they will get money so being kind is rewarded

Edit: They can and will ban you for anything but keep their list of rules brief when you join and look at them in game. Take a look.
A social game is only as good as the variety of discussion you can have in it. Particularly egregious interaction rules are "No agreeing with J. K. Rowling.", "No Illspeak of Developers", "No Trolling", "No Controversial Discussions", and "No Debates". There are also numerous double standard rules including "No Politics", "No Sexual Behaviour", "No Controversial Discussions", "No Media that can break any of our Rules", "No Offensive Text-Hats", and "No Offensive Condo Titles".
Original review:
I have a lot of nostalgia for GMTower and this game but I dislike the admins and moderators and preferential treatment given to the crowd you likely already know.
Lots of freaks playing as well and being uncensored within condos only goes as far to the types of images you can host within them. You can and will get punished for what you say even within your own condo where there's supposed to be "no moderation" and be chat banned from every single "unmoderated" condo if you get chat banned in the lobby.
I'm by no means a puritan but it's stupid to allow the levels of nsfw they show within condos while also protecting certain other classes and banning people who get a bit too uppity against them. I guess it's fine if you're a pervert who falls into that group. I'm sure it's also fine for them to trash talk whoever they see fit.
You can get a lot of mileage trolling people in it. Be careful what you say though. They're more than happy to ban the people who spend 20 dollars on their game if they don't like them. If they want more people in their game they should lower the price down to 5 and just ban people over and over again.
Edit 2: I have not been banned as of writing this review and have never been banned. My biggest issue is the double standards of the moderation who very obviously have leanings they cater to. Read the link and ask yourself why it only specifies one group of people who would have one particular point of view they hold.

Fun idea but the social element is really bad. Players are very very often needlessly hostile and/or clique-ey. My advice is to ignore this aspect of the game and play it purely either for the mini-games or with your own friends that you know personally. This is a pretty major caveat considering interacting with the community is an instrumental part of the game's feature set. The mini-games are decently fun and so is the condo-building but the community is just really bad
