I really liked the art style. I don't think I've ever seen a game with sprites this good and such smooth animation. Really great.
The character designs were cool too. Nice music and atmosphere.
Overall cant recommend due to camera zoomed way too close in - too many leaps of faith and the controls don't really seem appropriate for keyboard. If i had a gamepad maybe its worth buying at this price.

Interesting artwork with really creepy looking bosses. This is the stuff nightmares are made of.

The music has a heavy retro/synthwave feel to it which goes along well with the other elements of the game.

A gamepad is highly suggested. Almost every button does something. This allows for a variety of ways to approach and attack.

It's creepy, it has variety, and it's fun.

I have a lot of games, 3800+, and I rarely like a game. I liked this one. Price is too high but if you catch it on sale like I did then its all good. Nice trippy visuals and music. Trading cards would be cool though..

I really wanted to love this as I am a huge fan of games like Abe's Oddysee and other quirky platformers. As it is though, it's more of a $5 game. Still needs some work.
Pros
-Awesome graphics
-Very interesting style
-Controls are responsive
Cons
-Confusing controls
-Uninteresting story
-Bad checkpoint system
-Annoying camera
-Strange main character

I believed, and I've got disapointed. I was hoping this game would work well on my computer, unfortunately it is awfully slow on my windows 10. Otherwise I felt potential of fun with the atmosphere and creepy look. I cannot judge it accurately since it does not work optimally on my system but I felt it might be fun to explore and see more of those ugly monsters and cool looking background designs. It's clearly not a high quality game in terms of feeling of the physic but there are ideas and cool creepy designs in my tastes. I can't help but to give it a good review for what funny causal experience it could have been if it wasn't so slow and a little bit glitchy. I honestly and regrattably have to request a refund though to invest those bucks in games I can play properly.

that this game is made only by one man is insane!!
I really like the weird artstyle(s) used. It's a real Earthwormy-Jimmy-Cyberpunky-Spacy-Elfy-Trip :D !!
The gameplay could be a bit tighter - but ey it playes like Earthworm Jim.
As a one man job just amazing!!
Keep up the good work and refreshing setting.
And cudos to Atlus for getting a game like this on board. says much about you guys!

Extremely mind-blowing creative graphics in this game, and great maze-like challenges on multiple levels. An interesting "Spirit Guide" following you everywhere gives this game an edge unrivaled by most games of this type. Very cool!

I can't believe I never heard of this game. This game has fantastic Pre rendered 3D graphics like Donkey Kong Country and the old Oddworld games.

Daydreamer is loads of fun - if you are ever feeling nostalgic for an intense shoot-em up platformer but want a new visual flavor that is nothing like most games out there, this is for you. The art in this game is other-worldly and trippy, and it's a blast to tear through the twisted alien armies that vary from Fluffy laser bunnies to alien ghosts to cylon-esque robots.
Boss fights are the set pieces here, with each boss requiring a different strategy - and man are they all weird as hell (in a good way). There is decent replay-ability due to the timing and "score" you can achieve from taking the bosses down quickly or without taking too much damage. The different pets you can buy add depth to the way you can approach the games' challenges - just try to remember to save up the yellow "currency" in the beginning, so you can afford the more expensive and interesting pets. Some of them are downright hilarious - a flying cat that shoots and screeches? Yes please.
