Is cosy slop a term yet? It should be because that's what the games from this devleoper are. They pretend to look cute but if you look closer, and compare them, you notice how mass produced and shallow the graphics and animations are. Shallow is the word of the day. The core gameplay loop is shallow with zero challenge. The mini games of both games I played so far (in this one and the one with the vending machines) are the games from mobile game ads, but even more shallow. Get a free merging game from an app store and you'll have more depth and rewarding challenges even if you ignore in-game purchases. The OST isn't an offense to the ears, but serviecable elevator music at best. The items look kinda cute but that's the problem. Everything that isn't bad/boring is just kinda okay. Everything it does kinda okay has been done much better with more heart and depth before. The pseudo story is, also, kinda okay, and would be servicable enough as a rudimentary frame to tie the gameplay together, if the gameplay were satisfying. There are much better, more charming object cleaning & shop sims out there, with better/funnier takes of the same old story tropes. Trash Goblin, for example. Buy only if you value bright pastel colour palettes over everything else. Won't even try Witchy Business, just from the store page screenshots I can tell it's the same. Refund of the bundle requested.

This is a phone game. Press F1 then type sysinfo if you dont belive me. ok so i wrote this just before 100% the game. My majour issues with this game are that most upgrades do not feel like they provide enough value for their in game cost. The device that tells you how much an item is worth with three simple faces is completly useless, as it will show the same face for the $12 compass as the $250 secrect info. The shell merge minigame has no greater impact on the game as a whole and is simply a time sink, that, and the strange day cycle mechanic (that also adds nothing of value) lead me into thinking that this was a failed phone game that got pushed out onto steam as a fallback method. Then finding that the game was asking for location, accelerometer and gyroscope made this theory steel in my mind. I bought this on sale for $8 and its a pretty close call for how worth it is for me. Buyer beware.

A relaxing cosy game with a nice variety of tasks. The theme felt very refreshing. The art style is adorable, and I found the gameplay loop addictive. I had 100% of achievements in 2 days because I couldn't put it down. Comb the beach for treasure, repair the items you find, then sell the items at your shop. Use the money you make to buy new equipment and perks. Recycle unwanted finds to earn fair tickets, and play mini games at the fair to make extra cash. Talk to the islanders and learn their stories. The devs seem to be really proactive and have already implemented some QoL changes requested by the community after just 2 days. Fab work. Fun, cute and cosy. Highly recommended.

I was so pleasantly shocked by this game. Rogue Duck is usually a hit or miss for me, but this game just kept adding more things that just really added to the gameplay. There's a merge game, there's NPC heart levels, there's A TON of little minigames at the fair, upgrades, collectible items, and so much more. It makes the gameplay never boring. Oh, there's also healing the ocean animals at the vet! The issue is my game crashed right when the update with the save file came out, and 4 hours (half the game) of my playthrough vanished just like that. It was super frustrating for me, especially since I was just about to make a video on the game since I was so excited about it. I do still recommend it, but the game will forever have a sour note for me. Finished? No (had to restart, see above) Steam Achievements? There's lots, just takes some grind. Steam Deck? Okay, you'll have to switch between your fingers and the controls. Rating? 8.5/10 My curator page: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45865425-CozyAriGames/ Full videos on Youtube

This game feels like a Flash-Game you would find off Kongregate or some such, made in 2012, and provided free of charge. It does not feel like a $7 game. It is VERY basic in its controls and presentation. Animations are minimal, and content is simple and repetitive. I see where it’s going, and given that I’ve done everything it’s going to take to get there already, I struggle to keep doing things in this game. The core gameplay loop is very underwhelming, burdened by unpredictable value of objects, and foisted upon you clumsily. Goes like this: Go to beach -> get junk -> bring to workshop -> clean and repair -> sell junk -> check if you can buy upgrades -> upgrade nothing, you made 35 gold, got taxed 6, and the bigger bag costs 250 -> go to beach -> repeat None of those steps are particularly entertaining, though they are relaxing in some way. There are no time limits that I see, and no pressure to make a certain amount at a certain time. Just leisurely do your thang… except the thang sucks. Graphics - 2/10: nothing to write home about. Gameplay - 2/10: nothing to get excited about QoL - 5/10: has some options, could use more. Overall? Feels like a game I might have played in computer-lab in junior-high on a Netherlandish site that wasn’t blocked by the network utility. Bloons was better. Soft Pass.

This gameplay loop is so satisfying and went a different direction than the frustration of having a set amount of time in the day. I like being able to take my time as long as I only search and sell once per day, makes for a good pace. I also love the little easter eggs from other games I've played

I buy most of the Rouge Duck games. A few complaints with this one. I actually stopped upgrading my shop because it adds unnecessary steps. Takes restoring even longer and now I'm not having much fun. Why am I putting a compass in a rock tumbler and then GLUING it back together. Weird stuff like that makes me not want to finish this game. The blue metal water bottle is considered plastic while recycling? Lots of the objects are just copy/paste from their other games Ship Inc and Lost & Found. Anyways, I'm gonna go play Cozy Cleaner

Another great game from Rogue Duck Interactive! I love cozy job sims and this one has a summer theme and my birthdays coming up I wanted to treat myself I picked this up! The colors are bright and happy the gameplay progression is good and it takes slower paced and by that I mean it takes longer to upgrade because you don't make much money at first. I consider that a good thing, however, because I quickly get bored with games that I master fast. That is not the case with this title so I am a happy clam. You unlock more equipment that helps you make items look nicer as you earn money at the electronic store. Plus, at the DIY store you can purchase items that help with things like store spaces and improving odds or getting good deals and such. Considering the game is 40 percent off and if your able to bundle (cause you bought a game already that is part of one) you get it for even less. So, why wouldn't you grab it? Treat yourself like I did it's not like you'll break your budget spending $6! P.S. Rogue duck you need a frequent buyer program if they consistently good reviews to give like me!

This game reminds me of the sort of games I would play at my cousin's house in the mid '00s, between the art style and the satisfying minigames. Everything about it is forgiving - I'd imagine it would play really well for kids too. I immediately put two and a half hours into this game in a fugue of childhood nostalgia after buying it this morning. Such a satisfying and addictive gameplay loop, I didn't want to quit! It played really well on Steam Deck using either joystick-as-mouse (with click-to-hold enabled) or pure touchscreen. Looking forward to sinking a whole lot more time into this one :D

perfectly functional game, no major bugs, the gameplay functions, the art is cute enough. the problem is that the game is so incredibly simple, the gameplay loop never evolves beyond; rake sand, do the same "mini"games (even though its hardly even that), then sell do whoever wants it, over and over again. it is so incredibly shallow and while you could probably enjoy it as a hyper-casual brain-off game it is not really anything beyond that. it truly just feels like youre wasting your time
