I thought Cursed House 13 was tough, but the fifteenth installment of the Cursed House series takes the difficulty to a new level with the chain widget and ghost pieces. Also, because you can't get gratuitous powerups constantly anymore, it's an actual puzzle to figure out how to get all those coins! The 100 levels will make you think in different ways to get around obstacles. It's a good thing there's a hint button because I will cop to having to use it several times. There are a few levels which can be rendered impossible to complete, and you do not get a "replay" button appearing immediately when this occurs. Whether that was a design oversight, don't know. The minigames have been cut back a lot. There are now just 8 spot the difference games and 25 Sokoban levels appearing about every 3 levels. Still pretty frequent for minigame appearances, but at least you feel like you're playing a M3-puzzle game instead of the mixed genre feel several other LGT SIA games have. The usual modes of relaxed, limited moves, and timed. Timed mode is really tough, even if you know what you're supposed to do. I noticed the game was a little buggy at times...makes me wonder if the game engine needs to be updated, or if a new design engine needs to be brought in because of all the mechanics being used in the puzzles now. I had a few instances of the game crashing to desktop for no apparent reason. Some levels looked like they could have been a little better designed because the 2 types of pieces for moving the chain would all be in the same area, causing unnecessary frustration at times, or there would be extremely tight corners very difficult to reach with matches. If you enjoy puzzle games and like your M3s to be different, much recommended. If you were wanting just a M3 game, this might not be for you because it's hard, even for longtime Cursed House fans.
