Only brought this because a friend of mine mentioned this to me (he knew a person who designed this game). This game showed promise, I like some of the visuals, and I like some of the concepts in the game (the basic premise of two characters joining together reminds me a bit of the old school game Head Over Heels), but the gameplay fell way below expectation. There was so much this game could've done if the dev spent more time thinking about the structures of the levels. For one thing, considering how slow moving your character is, a powerful mine special weapon could've compensated (or even just sprinting). The areas where you are jumping in low gravity outer space could've been very good shooter gameplay if that aspect was expanded upon... Or maybe a jet pack. Some of the areas could've been expanded too, and the whole game could've been expanded with more mixtures of the different enemies in additional levels.
Perhaps the most unforgivable part of the game was in Level 10 where you fight a horde of mutant enemies who are faster than you. I struggled for about an hour and a half trying to beat this area and the way I beaten them is just go up the stairs, keep firing machine acorn gun while you have the special ammo, and keep going backwards around the first floor... and the mutant enemies start going backwards down the stairs and try to go around to the other stairs to get at you... and you do the same again! WT*? Of the 1 1/2 hour of many attempts and different tactics to beat these mutants with my slow moving acorn firing robot, this gaming / programming bug seems to be the only way to beat them. That's not gameplay, it's unfair difficulty and a gaming bug.
If the dev updated this game big time with better gameplay, then I could replay the whole game again and give it another chance. As it is, I consider it an indie development experiment.
