I like where this is going so far, for how recent it has come out I feel that it has done a good job so far. There are so issue yes, but I'm sure the devs are hard at work fixing that. As far as gameplay goes, it's playable if a bit clunky, that I feel should be polished up first, other wise it's a great start to what could be an incredible game.

GREAT GAME ENJOYED PLAYING i hater to say i liked how it started but i dont think its going anywhere so this is what you get. not enought after 2 years . no work on it lately kinda of tells you that they arent going to finish the game, 1. Eats a lot of computer power 2. talking heads really think the player dumb. after doing somthing for the3rd time dont need a head telling me how to redo it. 3. talking heads eat a lot of ram 4. the middle up button doesnt work game restarts by itsself in a few seconds. would be nice to have it work give you time for a break water bathroom what ever. Broke it down just like talking heads. Most people would know what the break is for 5. needs a hud or something to help find the attackers. Clicking c and using the scanner is very hard to find them . A hud radar would allow you to see them coming no need for talking heads. 6. 2nd suit needs a better gun or the missle should stay online till you run out then refill 7. you get killed running after the energy globes make them come to you I have had to restart game twice because of getting stuck getting the globes of energy. 8. 4 human will kill you faster than you can shoot them. humans are much to hard to kill. 9. why does some water kill you and other water you can wade thru either it kills you or it doesnt. and if it kills you give the humans squirt guns instead of rifles. Talking about the area toward beginning when you shoot down the trailer held by the crane. you cant explore cause the water kills you. 10.Im guessing the GRU HAS A LOT OF Satilites so maube use these to get overhead view insted of talking heads. or send the missles down insted of them to stop working when you ned them. Shows missles on bottom rt corner I always show more when I run out. 11. 2nd Mech takes to long to shoot. them red line look cool but they get you killed. 12. garnades would be fun have the humans leave a few around. 13. what good is a sniper rifle at 500 yds if you cant use a scope or your mech eyes cant zoom the sniper area could have been great . but no zoom and while the human are killing you. and you them the little energy balls lay 400 yds out so all in all you need to take the fight to them to get rehealed. plus no way to return their medicen if you have to stand in the window to shoot ccause your rifle doesnt go over the top and shoots the wall in front of you. sam for you missle by comming out of the top back of the mech they hit the ceiling and walls around you. 14 very enjoyable but computer really slows down when you use talking heads or shows incoming. the little warning signs would be enough. 15 really do love it so far cant wait to see where you go. If your reading this to figure out if you want to buy or not. Id say buy the game. it arena fighting, plus followwing a script but once you get past the script its great.

This game is fucking awesome. Seriously one of the finest outputs in early acces. Graphics are great, pacing is nice and it runs like a charm. Iam running it on my 2013 gaming laptop I7 processor, 6 gb ram and GT 630m graphic cards, really below min specs and it goes at good 30 fps (im not a purist, you see, im fine with 30fps) at 1600 x 900 res with medium settings. I assume that if you run it with the min specs you easily gonna get it work at 60 fps on medium settings. Only one thing i dont understand: why there are only 3 comments from customers? Men!!! Mech action on smooth UE4 graphics on a postapocalyptic Manchester!!!! At the moment this game is a criminally underrated gem. Do yourself a favor and buy it now. The only caution is to force youyrself to take care of your real world relationships ant maintain a respectable sex frequency with youyr girlfriend. This is more adictive than cigarretes and Mc Donalds burgers : )

The game is embarrasingly badly made, with graphics you would expect of a 10-tear-old game, cluncky controls, motion glitches, random CTDs... this is not an episode, it is a beta at best, at it requires a major overhaul (especially expanding on the story) before it can be considered a game. Also, don't believe those screenshots for a seond. Even on highest settings the graphics are bad-bad, bad, and the game literally has no shadows in this day and age. A major disappointment for me.

This game has so much potential, with the right amount of refinement and polish, i know the final product is going to be amazing! The mech designs and the way they feel is great, I can't wait to see what new augments and weapons are available for them in the future. Running in unreal 4 the game is visually stunning and has a nice level of environmental detail. Being a resident of Manchester myself I can say they nailed what a futuristic version of our great city might look like. And the sound of the wood Pidgeon whilst walking around the city was a nice touch. I also like the idea of DOOM style fatalities/glory kills on your enemy’s, these are not that well animated at this point but I am sure in future these will look awesome and will feel great to execute. The only gripe I had with the game is the voice acting, the main guy who is guiding you through the game was simply a bore to listen to, and the sergeant wasn't much better, it felt like they were literally reading the lines as they were saying them, they needed a bit more enthusiasm for me, but I am sure these lines will be re-recorded for the final release. Also the idea of customizable mechs with interchangeable augments and weapons, and the way they feel in game, makes me think this would make a fantastic multiplayer game. Big maps, multiple objective games, interchangeable weapons and fast shooting gameplay... Oh yes :) All in all the game look pretty good so far, considering how quickly the team has grown and the fact that an indie dev is creating this AAA style game is amazing! HUGE credit to all the guys at pixel bomb! I cant wait to see more in the future.

I don't have the habit of posting any reviews, but, this one is worth it. (note: I've got over 4000 games in my library) WHY? 1. It's one of the games in early access that I'm sure I'm going to play from the start once it's finished! 2. I would like to motivate the developers to polish and finish it, and by reviewing it perhaps I can get more player to review it too! Motivation is one hell of a thing! And I want to play this game fully optimized for my rig! 3. It's fun to play! 4. The price is really atractive too! The game really needs a lot of work in optimization 'cause sometimes it's pretty unplayable, but I don't think that's an impossible task for this particular developers. I'm playing the game in a low quality settings, so I can't say the game is beautiful until I can play it the right way! The only really nasty and ugly thing it's the way the mechs use picked up guns. It's awkward! The movement need to be polished but I cannot be sure if it's a problem (of my rig) of fps there. My rig: Intel Core i5 750 @ 2.67GHz - 16Gb Ram AMD Radeon R9 380 Windows 10 x64 I apologize for my english

Glitchy graphics, animation bugs, and a combat system that feels a liiiittle too floaty are the problems inherent in this game... HOWEVER, the on-sale price of $6, the interesting story and world-building, the clear amount of effort and heart that have gone into this early-access piece, and the promise of the developer to work on it, I can safely say that it's worth the price of admission to help work as a beta-tester on this. Now to be more positive in this positive review, this is a game set in a post-apocalyptic future following a nuclear war. Also, you're a space-dwelling human piloting a hulking killer robot. It's pretty great. Weapons are cool, designs are cool, sound design is good, and once they fix the graphical glitches and improve control feedback it'll be an excellent game.

Cannot recommend.... YET. + -Nice graphics -good gameplay -interesting background setting - -Tutorial missions take WAY too long -facial animations should be improved or removed -input konfiguration needs some fixing Be sure to grab this gem on a sale though, if it will be worked on and polished properly there is a diamond inside.

Before you continue reading or buy, read what the developers have to say in the Early Access Game notes. Know what their plans are... The standout feature of BFB is the executions. Run up to an enemy and you can perform an execution, which there are several different styles. Executions on humans seem to be the most polished while executions on animals can be performed they are broken. The executions are gory and generally end up with the victim being torn from their limbs, showing their spines and other internals dangling out Combat is not very inspiring, you are a giant mech trying to shoot tiny, fast moving, targets where pin point accuracy is required to hit your targets. If this doesn't change then be prepared for a mediocre experience. Having said that it's something that can be easily fixed by the dev's. One option would be allow the projecticles to gravitate towards enemies (not homing missiles) allowing near misses to become hits, therefore slightly more forgiving on current pin point accuracy. The first party of the game has you trundling around for around an hour or so through empty streets and building, before adding some K9's to kill, eventualy adding more intelligent, human, foe's. All of which is interspersed by some puzzle mechanics that need to be overcome to continue on your journey. A hacking mechanic is in game, which all you have to do is hold a key down to perform the hack. Hack a terminal and you get a little mono rail journey towards a camera you can view and then hack another camera until you can hack a switch that opens a door. Very similar to Watch Dogs, though it needs more polish and copying Watch Dogs mechanic and style for hacking would be no bad thing. Level designs are OK, though you will find yourself inside narrow buildings and outside in streets being lead down a corridor, with only one way to go. Outside there is plenty colours as the Manchester streets are over grown with fooliage, while the inside of buildings are mostly barren and empty. Though there is a nice night club building you visit briefly. It took me around 90 minutes to complete what is currently available, the total play time for Episode One is guestimated to be 3hours. If the Dev's are serious about their game then I would expect EA development time to continue towards the 12 month time to apply the polish needed to this game. Early Access games are difficult to review. Line up 10 EA games together and their current feature set and level of polish will differ significantly. If you don't like to play games which contain bugs and expect all features to be present then I recommend you never buy an EA game. On the flip side, if you like what you see and want to support the developers then go for it.
