- can't control the creatures in your dungeon :(
- low copy of Dungeon Keeper
- the main story was very easy but A Game of Winter DLC was a very big pain and a challenge
- you gather Evilness only when destroying camps not units
- really we need adds that promotes Kalypso products in-game ??
- A Clash of Pumpkins, A Song of Sand and Fire and A Chance of Dragons DLC's are skirmish maps :(:(
+ A Game of Winter DLC was very nice
+ some dialogs were very funny
+ background music
If you want to kill some time is good

Dungeons 2 - A Song of Sand and Fire Review
Another tiny but very neat little DLC to spruce up your Dungeon Master Skills.
Please note that this Review may contain spoilers from the Base game
Some key points that this game add on has to offer:
1. Three new Missions.
2. New Fiery Enemy Types.
3. Ten hours of new gameplay.
Replayability:
This DLC adds three new missions to the game, that can be found under the Skirmish menu; They can be played with all the rules and options that other Skirmish maps have.
MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:
Dungeons 2 - A Song of Sand and Fire lacks some narration as well; narration for the new campaign missions would have really spruced these DLC’s up and have made them much more entertaining.
However, that does not make it a bad DLC, it just doesn’t have a feature that could have made it more entertaining. The new DLC can be found under the DLC list or by going to the Skirmish list and finding the three new maps there.
This time around, the Ultimate Evil found himself in a scorching desert full of fiery fanatics that want to burn everything they can… alive or undead!
Leading them is an Insane Fire Priestess whose power is not to be trifled with. Will you and your minions be able to halt their burning tide, and push them back into their own fires…, or will the fires consume you?
This DLC packs a powerful new punch, giving us three large new maps to play on and several new flame enemy types to deal with. Just like the previous DLC it offers several new hours of fun if you can manage to survive the map that is.
All in all, a decent add on for a Dungeons fan.

Expected a supplemental campaign like "A Game of Winter," but it's just a map pack for skirmish mode.

Unfortunately the reviews are correct, for the $3.99 you get 3 skirmish maps with no voice over.
These maps are generally bug free, if they opened up a workshop I'm sure they'd get 100x better maps and 100x more of them.
This old model of selling subpar content because they don't allow users to create their own is one of the worst aspects of legacy gaming that I'll be happy to see die.
What I do like about the maps is they don't PUSH you or put you on a timer, you have time to explore your dungeon and slowly build traps.
I expected the terrain to be markedly visually different and it isn't that much different actually.
I was hoping for perhaps something different to happen, like for example, once you trigger something perhaps melty sand herself invades your dungeon and you get a voice over with her frustration with your traps. NOPE.
Overall, they're ok maps, not really worth $4 tho.
If you're a fan of Dungeons 2 I'd recommend buying it all on a Steam Sale, otherwise you may feel a tinge of regret.

My main issue... 3 boring skirmish maps that only total about 3 hours playtime, not the 10 that it advertises. Same goes for chance of dragons dlc. Cheap unimaginative dlc.

Adds 3 singleplayer skirmish maps. No story, no storyteller, simply nothing that made the main game any fun is within this DLC.

Well, after playing through these three maps, I would say it is essentially a glorified map pack for skirmishes, outside of the flavor text telling a bit of after game story in the descriptions for each. This did felt lazier in enemy design as opposed to the dragon dlc, where we at least had to deal with dragons bearing down on our dungeons.
However, I did find enjoyment in playing these and I did like the way the overworlds were designed and it fitted what was mentioned in the desriptions before starting each map (exp. Alliance bunkering down in their little bases and mountain towns as I slowly make my way towards them. In level two there is a nice little mountain valley village below the mountain ranges).
I personally found them fun to play for skirmishes, and depending on your play and which faction you choose, it will take you roughly several hours to finish. (I took my time upgrading my orcs and such, so my playthrough was longer) I highly doubt it will take you less than five hours or so to finish unless your speed rushing (which argues why you would want to rush the levels in the first place instead of enjoying what you've bought, that's like buying a bag of chips. scarfing them down within minutes and then complain there were not enough chips, but anyways).
If you really like the game, then this is a nice little filler while waiting for the expansion in the future. If your on the fence about it, then wait for a small discount.
