I came across this game in the Overload forums, and damn am I glad that I did! It is fantastic. I just finished my first playthrough and loved every second of it. I wont speak too much on the mechanics of the game, because I think that the way it shows/teaches you is perfect, and I wont spoil that. The sound design is great. The way one person explained it in the forums for Overload was "fruity" and I think that fits pretty well. Once you hear it, you will understand. The music is great. I love the level design and the variation in enemies throughout. The pacing of the game felt great to me as well. The upgrade system works really well and is implemented perfectly here. This is hands down my favorite twin stick shooter. I am ashamed that it took me two years to find it. Well done dev's, well done. Going to start a New Game (+) now :).

This is a very fun and polished game, just as the first Inferno was. I beat it on easy in about 5 hours, which opened up "New Game+". I have not tried that yet. There isn't much to say that wasn't already said in the other reviews. If you like twin-stick shooters, buy it.

Amazing game. I played the first one on the 360 and bought this one on Steam, Android and the Switch. It's simple, with a nice soundtrack and a good level of challenge. Highly recommended!

This game is a disappointment because the Video Game Controller doesn't work to play the game!

Really solid and tight twin-stick action, with deviously crafted levels and RPG development mechanics. Anyone who's a fan of twin-stick shooters or action dungeon-crawlers owes it to themselves to play this.

Played to level 40. Relaxing easy game. Bought it on sale for almost nothing, probably not worth the full price, but if its on sale and you like twin stick shooters; give it a go. Update played some more (around level 60ish), its worth the full asking price if you like twin stick shooters.

I played this game years ago and never reviewed it. It has a graphical style similar to Geometry Wars but with an exploration element as well has level ups and upgrades. Experimenting with the different weapons gives it some light replay value. This game is criminally underrated and well worth the price.

Played the first 4 levels of the game, and was greeted with a bug; I was unable to navigate the "Enhancements" part of the menu for ship upgrades with keyboard. I was unable to click on the options either, allowed only allotting points into speed. I was able to do upgrades as much as I pleased, whether I had the ACTUAL skill point or not. Upon putting more than 3 points into speed, the game tells me I get "Error" speed, and I end up not being able to move at all. Frozen in place. Broken game, refunded.

the game play is simple and fun. challenging without being obnoxious. works well with either keyboard or controller. however I don't recomend the game for the menu glitches. many times it would refuse to let me highlight the upgrade I wanted without clicking on an upgrade I didn't want first, then canceling and then the one I wanted would be available. I finally quit when the only option I was given after a level up was an upgrade to the ship speed that instead reduced max speed to 0... and left me stranded and unable to play.

Radiangames makes some of the best pure overhead shooters, period. It's a shame that thus far only his latest is on Steam, many having started on XBLIG and a few (notably JoyJoy) making their way to tablet and mobile. But damned if he didn't further refine the pure fun and pressure of the original Inferno. The experience isn't simplified, but rather distilled: four guns, each the right tool for specific situations, four missiles, each likewise unique and providing more oomph at the cost of limited ammo (there's plenty to be found, but you still need to be careful not to shoot yourself dry in the middle of a firefight), and four triggerable powers suiting different playstyles. You can focus your powerups on the missiles and guns you enjoy most, and the specific boosts can be chosen in any order (for example, one of the guns may have more damage, faster shots, or a stunning effect... rather than being arranged in a tree, you can pick which to get first, with the knowledge that the cost of getting a second, then the third is going to increase afterwards.) Personally, I'd love to see more of his games arrive here, though for now I can at least strongly recommend this one. Fun as heck. :)
