PROS : - Game is very optimized, will run on literally anything with a CPU, i was getting 1500 frames in the main level. That;s nuts! - Great attention to details - Cheaper than a Starbucks Coffee - You can play slots on the Computer and lose all your hard earned salary not just once in real life, but now TWICE over! CONS : - You need to pay attention to what's going on, and there's a bit of reading to be done. If you're not the patient type it might be difficult - Found some menu bugs in a prior build , but the dev fixed most of them before me writing this. DISCLAIMER : I know the guy who made the game, I wasn't gifted it though. As a fellow romanian gamedev, im happy to see small studios, expecially soloes succeed. Keep up the good work Paul!

A good game with a strong start! It was quite fast‑paced with a lot to do in the mid‑game, but it started to feel a bit repetitive. Nevertheless, it was overall very fun! (I found that the QTEs were a bit long, cutting out a key or two would be better.)

EDIT: Okay, played a few hours, and to be honest, it's more frustrating than it is fun. It isn't a bad game, but it definitely has some bad features. This is where I wish Steam reviews had a neutral review or something similar. I'm giving a positive because this guy pays actors for his game instead of AI. Props. - There is absolutely 0 cooldowns for when specific events can happen. Meaning you can be in a multi-tasked situation and lose because of RNG. It's also common this happens, since this happened twice to me very quickly. When you use the security camera and spot something off, another thing can spawn right in your face. It's absolutely frustrating and a time waster. - Collision is extremely wonky. Run around in this small environment, fast paced gameplay, you'll see that your character loves to crouch on his own since this player controller lacks a good ground check and snap. - Quick time event for one specific enemy. Not bad to use quick time events. But the issue is the only way to avoid this enemy is to purposely get attacked, then do a quicktime event. It's also extremely long of a QTE. Your screen is just you getting choked out while you hold a single button for a few seconds, rinse and repeat. - This environment you're in makes little sense. Go to the roof and pay attention to the background, you're apparently a giant living in a gnome's world. Buildings are tiny compared to the one you're in. - Another environment complaint, there is a single hallway that goes to your apartment, there isn't a stairway in case of a fire, this is why fire exits exist. So, a small issue that few will notice, no impact on gameplay whatsoever. - No skip button for the intro. When you die, you do get a continue option in the beginning, which is cool. One issue still, you have to set up the entire security camera again, it doesn't take long, but you have to sit through a progress bar. So many progress bars in this game that take ages. - Main menu features aren't fully implemented, it seems. One graphic setting exist, and it is set to "AUTO." Keep in mind, there are two setting menus, one in the main menu and one in the main game. In the main game, you have only two options. FPS, and senstivity. To fix any resolution issue you might have, restart the game and fix it in the main menu. - In the game, you hear music playing constantly. You can't turn this off. While it is nice, this isn't a game like "Please Don't Touch Anything." You need to hear the audio, there are a lot of overlapping audios in the game. It seems there isn't much use of 3D audio if you have headphones in. - Textures are extremely inconsistent. Some photos that are small are high quality. Yet, some large posters barely have any resolution at all, just pixels. - Some websites are basically from WTTG. And there isn't a lot of websites to visit in this game it seems. - This game focuses on being fast paced, yet, the main objective is to find codes on a website. It's basically impossible to explore any website for more than 10 seconds without getting hacked, your internet going out, door being unlocked, forced to play FNAF on your other monitor, resetting the monitor, there is actually too much that happens too quickly. There is absolutely 0 cooldowns, heavily RNG reliant. You can play perfectly but lose because you have to hold space for a long period of time to reset your security cameras. - Resetting your camera takes too long, and resetting the internet takes too long. You click a button and you're met with a progress bar. This game has a lot of progress bars. - Getting hacked takes so long to actually happen. Mini-games are memory games, both are extremely similar mini-games. So similar that I thought my game bugged because the memory icons never loaded. Turns out, the game is designed that way. - The gameplay mechanics kinda make 0 sense. You're looking on the deep web while watching security cameras in your house. While it isn't bad, the issue is that items are appearing right in front of your face, you're being hunted by a group of people right? It's weird you have a ghost in your house placing things in front of you. It's a game though, nothing always needs to make sense, but it's better that it does. - Barely any reminders on what specific things do. There is an in-game store, you cannot hover over the items and have a small prompt show up that says exactly what these items do. Leave it up to your imagination. - Seriously, too much goes on at once. This is my biggest complaint. It isn't fast paced, it's repetitive. You do one thing, only to be forced to do something else over and over and over in the span of 5 minutes. You're running around in this game more than actually browsing the deep web. This is more of a test with keeping up with multiple tasks (that involve RNG) than being fast paced and fun. - Enemy designs are similar to WTTG, but they are also a bit boring, and the only one that sort of makes sense is the Hitman, keep your door locked. Everything else? SWAT, some lady with a mask, and the uh, plague doctor mask guy? They all have mechanics to avoid them that make 0 sense. SWAT for example, they can only find you if you don't report enough anomalies in your own home. It's a game, things don't have to make sense, but man, this is some wacky stuff. - Using the PC is hell on earth, this isn't counting the multi-tasking and switching back and forth. It's that sometimes your mouse will notice something it can click, yet, nothing happens. The buttons are poorly paced. So much on the screen, the notepad feels pointless, tabbing out is better and using your own notepad. Cheating? Yes. Yet, it's unfair to have a hack, wifi go out, security cameras go down, front door unlocking, this all can happen at the same time. You can lose a hack because of everything happening at once. - Epileptic? Skip this. Dark mode isn't a thing in these types of games, the game has a warning for epileptic users in the beginning, but my god, he wasn't kidding, flashing lights for days. I'm epileptic and most games are bearable with flashing lights. Some things in this are visual hell for anyone epileptic. These visuals are interesting and always welcome to see still in games. This is more of a warning for anyone who is sensitive to flashing things. - You're given a phone in the beginning of the game. It's useless. Given a flashlight and a text for objectives. While there might be more for the phone after beating it, it's still very useless. Though, it's nice to see. Small tiny details like this are fine. Tiny nitpick. - The actual jumpscare audio when you die is quieter than the notifications on your PC. That's the real jumpscare. - Animations are stock animations, never bad to use these. My issue is that you can tell what is stock and what isn't, as the developer who animated some things are very jittery, lack movement or have any movement at all. My favorite is that someone is being hung on a cross in a cutscene, only for their hands to be facing the wrong direction when being hung on a cross. Obviously, this can be a dumb killer, but my god, it's hilarious. - You can clip out of the map quite easily by getting on specific objects in the house. The developer seems pretty active when it comes to responding to reviews and Discord. Some of my complaints from a previous review was taken into suggestion. Also, NO AI. There is a picture of the dev badly photoshopped in the game, and honestly, this is more genuine and cool to see. This I respect alone. Created by an actual person, not AI. Keep in mind, my review shouldn't stop you from getting and supporting a small game like this. I'd rather give my money to this individual than the original WTTG developer, terrible fellow. This review is silly. I'm just autistic and notice details that others don't, breaking games is my specialty. I'm sure if the dev decides to sit down and fix many complaints, I'm sure these are issues are common.

I got as far as trying to "hack" into your own security system? (doesn't make sense, but hey) Where you have to type random unix commands in against a timer. (case sensitive) F**K that. Alt F4, game over. Don't put a crappy time based challenge right at the start of the game. it really puts people off

Defiantly worth the price of admission! Great atmosphere, sound design, and game mechanics! If you enjoy juggling different tasks and getting choked, this game is for you. Very active solo Dev who clearly cares about the game, feedback from the players, and actions it into updates. Defiantly worth spending a few hours on a dark night! Just don't try and go to floor 8 and above, you'll slip into a new dimension.

THIS GAME DIDNOT MEET THE PICTTURES AND VIDS THAT WAS DISPLAYED I Bought this game to the expectation it was mixture between two aspects of real like and 3d gaming experiencing, something that goes against the norm, OH WAS I WRONG.... there was little to no emotion when it comes to the voice acting, WHEN IT WAS A HUMAN AT THAT FACT,..... other cases it was some form of ai siri like voice which is so underwhelming. after experiencing this game i would still feel dissatisfied i got this game for free... lack of story and direction janky controls insanely high sens, u can also tell that the creators tried to make this game extra relatable to appeal to a young audience with using terms like "SYBAU" which felt completely out place and cringy. 0/10 WHICH IS GENEROUS OF ME!!!!!!

Netbreak has an interesting concept, but the actual gameplay ends up feeling more like a constant chore than an enjoyable experience. You spend nearly all your time repairing Annette on the roof, locking the door, and managing the security control panel. There’s barely any room left to actually play or enjoy the core mechanics. Instead of tension, it just becomes repetitive and exhausting. Hard to recommend in its current state.

Game is great and does have a lot of potential, bugs here and there and some things I'd fix up but overall it's good and will continue to get better. The dev is actively updating problems to make the best version of the game they can.

I will preface this review by saying I have played every WTTG and adjacent game, I am VERY familiar with coding, hacking methods, modern technology, etc. I am not going to heavily criticize an early developer clearly taking a shot at a genre with untapped potential. When you play this game you will instantly feel the ambition and the understand the vision they are going for. This is not a review done with malice, but just genuine disappointment that I could not enjoy the game properly. But for me I just could not help but grow impatient with the intro to the game feeling like a "proof of concept" showing what CAN be done, rather than cutting to the chase and getting the player familiar with what they will have to do. Also the realism just leans a bit too hard into being tedious instead of prioritizing fun (its a video game after all). I would have PREFERRED to not play casual mode as I know that will likely be suggested. Some examples of that is: - leading players into watching 4 "snuff" videos with no obvious way of skipping to the game play. These videos would not have been so bad if they just stuck to a consistent presentation, not each one being a stress test on how far we can push the analog camcorder recording aesthetic until it becomes unplayable. - Logging into a crypto wallet... I don't want to type a whole login that I am being presented for the first time on a sheet of paper completely disconnected from the monitor I am typing it in that I must be focused on in order to type in the first place. Email (with an inconsistent naming scheme from the website domain you are entering it from mind you). Password. and a seed phrase? come on now... - The security control panel on the door. Its just so unreasonably tedious to interact with. But this is a broader problem that doesn't make this feature BAD on its own. The overall consistency of interacting with the MAIN objective of the game (The computer and security panels) is lacking, and the guidance as a first time player does not help this. You tell me to log into a laptop, I sit in my chair and click several times on the laptop with no feedback, nothing happens. I get up from the chair and sit back down, THEN it works? Same for the desktop computer. This happened several times throughout my first almost HOUR of playing. Just dragging on my playtime without ever actually getting to the MEAT of the game. Hell I tried to do the gambling as soon as I got on the computer even after these issues, and I got stuck on there trying to exit out of it. This took way too much time. Like I said previously, I see the vision. But I believe if you're aiming for a difficult game, which this game rightfully should be, you gotta make sure these things actually work. I should be fighting the enemies, not jank. Prioritize polish over overwhelming players with new concepts that don't quite mesh well together. You will be much happier with the end result. I'm going to take a different approach than the other reviews in saying of course I can't recommend this at this time, and I wont sugar coat it by putting a thumbs up to save the ratings. There was clearly some testing behind the scenes and these players did an injustice by not being more critical when they were given a free copy of the game to do such. These other reviews are hard to trust.
