Seep Universe has some nice ideas and charisma, but somehow the gameplay feels off and frustrating. Unfortunatelly, i couldn't bother to finish this one and can't recommend it. But Seep has some nice little games, like Swords & Bones.

Other SEEP games are good. This one is not. Controls are horrible. Avoid it, not for the sake of your money, but for the sake of your time. I almost beat the 4th world and just had to give up because of all of the unfair deaths due to the bad jump mechanic.

A blast from the past!
There was a time when gamers used to spend hours in arcades playing videogames like Seep Universe. Games created with passion, pretty difficult, with unique 8-bit style graphics and which gave you enormous satisfaction once completed. If you want to relive the magic of the legendary '80s and '90s Seep Universe is the game for you.

This game is surprisingly good having in consideration the devs had low budget and not many people to work with and still they go away in making a homage to retro gaming.
During boss fights, what it lacks in epicness is compensated with a lot originality as each of them is a completly different minigame.
Needless to say, they were aiming to people who loves retro games or wants to be introduced to them witouth losing the difficult factor, altought the game is not extremelly difficult it is still a nice challenge wich is a lot more challenging that most actual games that only bothers emulating the old pixelated graphics but they forgot to make them hard.
The devs seem to update this game adding cameos from other of their games whenever they release a new one (unlockables and stages)

I found this game ugly. The graphics has no artstyle, sprites too small. Controls are not good, and in my opinion platformer genre games is obligated to have good controls and precise jumping mechanics. And OMG... if I could dislike a game only for a music... I mean if you want to hear cliche Egypt music that feels like it's played on backpipe you should buy this game. The main theme just obnoxious. And who is this "seep" boys? Is it just guys who program this abomination?

What game were the people writing these positive reviews playing? It's definitely not the one I got. There's almost something a bit suspect about it now that I really look through them...
It brings me no pleasure to bash on an indie dev, but this is an utterly incoherent mess of broken software. For one, there isn't even any kind of menu once you start the game. You can hit escape and bring up a command bar with no real usable functions, but doing so permanents cuts off all input making the game unplayable until you close the window like a game of solitaire and start all over again. Speaking of which, I found no means of saving your progress. Looking at the discussions there supposedly is, or was, a save feature, but I sure can't find it and there's nothing even vaguely resembling instructions in this game. Even if I could save, there's no apparent way to load it. The game just automatically starts at world 1-1 on launch like an arcade cabinet from the 80s. There's just no front end at all. Nothing. Insert coin to play.
As for the gameplay, the level design is just scrub league. There's no flow, bad enemy placement, and mindless zig zagging that just slow the gameplay to a halt. The play control is okay, but doesn't feel all that polished. For instance, you can jump from a standstill and if you keep moving left or right, you'll start accelerating just the same as you would on the ground.
The state of this game even on the level of a basic PC application is inexcusable.
I honestly feel I've had on this one. Sorry guys, but I think I'll be trying out the refund system.

Erm... What a strange game. You play as 2 rocker bros, going on some bizarre adventure, with a cheetahmen quality story. Each level is not only a platforming game, but often a mini adventure to, with some backtracking and exploring needed. You select what stage to do with a mario 3 type of map deal, and there is even shops that sell extra lives and junk.
It's actually fun though. I liked it, not bad for the few bucks spent. Some decent tunes, cartoony style art, I ended the game wishing there was more to it, cause it was enjoyable.
I really like small indy groups like this, just having fun, getting something out there, that is actually decent and fun to play. Not an amazing game, but platformer fans who think it looks fun in the video will probably not be disappointed given the price. Give it a try!
