Its not like the blood DLC in Shougun 2 were there is real content you get, new gibts, blood, bloody armour/weapons etc Here the only thing you get is a very very very cheap sprite effect that overlays the animations of your characters. Good job GW, you squeeze again without effort money out of me.

Pretty bad. Blocks your view and abosultely unreasonable amounts of blood spatters. Should be free. However, it is also rather amusing watching hundreds of guardsman explode into a hurricane of blood, so I have pretty mixed feelings about this dlc.

So here I figured: Khorne! Yay! Galaxy burn huzzah! But alas, even Khorne thinks this is too much. Hope you didn't like cool-ass sync-kills! It's just different colors of moving red now. It's real bad. I understand "Sublety be damned" is right in the description, but it goes past that and into the realm of "I can't even see my units in a fight.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Retribution - Ridiculously Bloody Blood Pack
This DLC adds a new blood effect to the game, and it's ridiculous/awful. Apart from the fact that this DLC makes the blood start to break the laws of physics, the effect itself is terrible. I know it's Warhammer 40k, where everything is always more exaggerated, but when these effects are so annoying that they cover the screen and fights, something is very wrong.

I bought this DLC after wondering how much of a difference to the game it would make, it makes a bloody big difference. ;) Pros - Exacly as it looks in the pictures, no false advertising. - No difference in performance. I've benchmarked this game with the DLC on and off. - Lots and lots of blood. ("Blood for the Blood God!") Cons - Exacly as it looks in the pictures, you can't see your units due to excessive blood. - Makes the game hard to play. (reccomend turning it off once the novelty wears off) It's nice to see Relic back in action with this, even though it's just a bloodpack. I recommend geting this on sale. I got this at 75% off. Well worth it for that.

More blood than could possibly be in a human body will explode from every model struck. I turned this off after playing with it for about a minute. It probably makes the game harder too as the blood blocks your vision.

Glad I got it for .49 cents. The blood has no detail, and every "hit" looks the same, this is aside from the point that it covers entire units and prevents sight of health bars and other essential data a person would want to know. While i managed for the times i used this DLC, it is not worth the hindrance it imposes on the player utilizing it. In short, the blood extends outwards from a single point like an optical illusion picture. From that center point, it always fountains out wards in a mesh, and it's not even a high quality mesh. Take a sharpie and put a circle on your screen. There is no detail to the blood, or physics applied to this. I wouldn't bother with this purchase. I'm simply glad i'm only out .49 cents as opposed to a few bucks. This isn't even worth that.

I thought people were exaggerating when they said the blood looks like they simply scaled the particle density to 500%, but no, that's literally what it looks like and it looks bad oftentimes. What's worse is they charge for it, thankfully I got it on sale for less than a dollar but I still wouldn't recommend it. I'm usually not one of these people, but this should be included already or free.

Don't buy it, you'll think it's funny and silly for 2 seconds, then you'll want to turn it off so you can actually see what the F is going on.

This is a awful DLC .First, they are selling something that should be in the base game. Second, the blood effects are really bad. I thought it was a bug at first that their was so much blood that I could not see what was happening on my screen. However, it apparently is not. They thought units exploding into a giant cloud of blood that blocks your view like a smoke screen was a good thing. I just keep this dlc off, so that I can play the game. Do not waist your money on this.
