The game is not worth your money, bad gameplay, empty servers.
But I will hope that all this will change for the better.

First of all: this game is not bad. It runs fine. It just seems to be undone, left behing or else. Probably made for some gamemaking experience or 15 $ bet or else.
The game is a primitive wave-style zombie FPS. Nothing more, nothing less.
I would totaly not recommend it if i found some crashing / huge bug / couldn't run it. Everything was fine.

Mortos is a survival shooter game where you survive against waves of zombies. I've complained about modern games not having enough hit registration but this is something else. There are no bullet tracers, no hit markers, no blood coming out of the enemies, there is NOTHING. You have 3 weapons, that being an SMG, a shotgun and a pistol and they all feel awful. Shooting at enemies does nothing because you have no clue where the bullets are going. At first I thought the game was headshot based, but quickly found out that was bullshit because headshots don't do anything.
The game looks like it was made in 1999 and it's dark. To combat this issue the game has a night vision mode. The night vision mode is literally just all of the textures replaced with lime green. Not only is it disgusting to the eyes, but also takes any challenge out of the game. AI is broken and they will often fall from the sky and the minimap doesn't accurately show where the enemies are. The incompetence of mortos is so high that they give you limited ammo, but then have these spiders follow you around the map. So you can shoot them and waste your ammo or you can knife them to death but risk taking damage. This is a decision that the player should have to make if they messed up and this is their punishment, not if they've played normally and followed all the FUCKING rules. it should come as absolutely no surprise, that baby's first video game is so bad, but goes to show how AWFUL this developer is, because they're not even capable of ripping off better games of this genre. Fuck this.

SINGLEPLAYER: ridicolusly unplayable, enemies take you down with few shots from farther than graphics can show...
MULTIPLAYER: nobody playing.
Plus, about 10 fps overall, and theres only one map.

Warning: Asset Flip!
Mortos is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers.
The bulk of this game is just reskinning the old Unity Ultimate FPS game package with some other assets stolen/borrowed from around the place... actually the game got more attention from the toxic developer harassing reviewers, and the review manipulation than as a game itself. This is one of the games Jim Sterling picked up on when shedding some light on the increasing number of asset flips and other fake games that had started to flood Steam.
Which should tell us everything we need to know about the game, and it's very true... asset flips wouldn't even be a thing if the stolen/plagiarised assets were attached to a fantastic game. I mean, look at games like I Am Fish that use assets from the asset store... but they don't comprise most of the game.
Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware.
Despite not being in Steam Early Access (where this arguably belongs), the game is missing features and is apparently incomplete. Due to the lack of meaningful progress from the developer, it's unlikely the game will be completed at all, yet the developers reprehensively have their hand out for money for an incomplete game. This is a good reason for gamers to avoid this.
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts.
Mortos didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for starting the game, trivial to get, but less than 25 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game.
Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this only happened once, around the same time that trading cards were applied to the game... so this is just card idlers getting their cards and moving on. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards.
This game features a number of suspicious, likely fake positive reviews. The reviews all appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and all have very similar wording and writing style (all in Italian, same as the developer, weird huh). Immediately after this huge peak of reviews, reviews (and player counts) for the game dropped incredibly sharply. This is highly unusual given the very low quality of the game and poor player counts. The "Positive" review score on this game should be taken with a large grain of salt. This might have been done to deceive/mislead gamers into paying for a bad product.
So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam?
Mortos is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. Remember that if you buy a game from an unethical developer, you're putting your money at risk.
Developer Response!
The developer has weighed in to inform everyone they didn't read the Developer Usage Rules for Steam "partners", or they deliberately ignored the part where Valve says:
Though it may be tempting, not every review needs to be responded to. A developer response will frequently draw more attention than the original statement, potentially turning a small issue into a much larger community discussion. It's also not a good idea to use this feature to refute customer opinions. Your direct attention can be seen as validation or a defensive attempt to silence your customers.
The developer chimes in to let us all know stealing other people's products from the Unity Asset Store and trying to scam you for YOUR money for someone else's assets is "hard work".
Lazy asset flips like this are a blight on gaming, and we should be thankful to Sterling for calling this stuff out.
Here's the Youtube video from Sterling going over just how terrible this lazy asset flip is.

Nothing in the developers pointless breach of Valve guidelines changes any of the objective facts of my review. My review stands unaltered. I cannot recommend this asset flip to anyone.

Game a huge work in progress.
No multiplayer
Levels released half done(path blocked by "work in progress signs"
enemies are stupid and basic(vampire zombies and giant cyborgs)
Micheal Bay consulted in this(every other thing explodes)
guns are limited and horribly inaccurate
snipers are 2 shots dead.
I could make this game by throwing all the unity basic assets against against the wall and putting a .exe in front of it
BUUUUUTTTT its early access so its my fault for buying it. It might do better later in development so go whoever made this.
Bad...Bad...BAD!!!
This game is terribly not good and I warn everyone that anything negative you have to say about the game (even if it is constructive criticism) will get you instantly banned. Please don't support this dev, for the love of all things good, just don't. The gameplay is absolutely horrible, there are only stock assets present with a few minor adjustments, there is not really any creativity, and asking questions or giving any kind of feedback will get you slapped in the face and banned. The dev also bullies everyone who disagrees with him about his game.
The dev also has a thing about threatening people. I'm not kidding, he said he would come to my house and fight me, he said he was going to call the cops because I was bullying him (even funnier) and he lives in Italy while I live in the US. Yes, they'll call the local cops here and have them come yell at me for disliking a video game. Also, the dev pretended to be a Valve employee and started threatening people to shut down their Steam accounts if they didn't "stop stalking, flaming, harassing him, ave nice day". He doesn't know what an "h" is.
Avoid this like a plague. I got my money back, thank god.
At the point of updating this review, the dev harassed me all day yesterday and posted over 200 comments on this review which I have deleted all of them because it was ridiculous. He also, started doing the same thing today.
I had to write him a cease and desist to stop spamming and harassing me.
It's been over a year and the dev is still harassing me.
