Ignore the people with comments about not reaching in the character creation. I've also had problems at the start but luckily it was a quick fix. So far wildstar has been a refreshing MMO for me. There's definitely lots of things to do in wildstar that wont get repetitive as compared to the other common MMOs i've played so far. WILDSTAR deserves more players and another shot!

I got one word for ya, fellas. Housing.
The housing in this game is a game in and of itself. It's getting better like, every patch and there's so much you can do with it. Want a cave? YOU CAN BUILD YOUR ASS A CAVE. Want a small, rustic, dusty town? They got you covered with everything you could want.
The gameplay and combat are pretty dang nifty too. not just a sit there and shoot it, you have to move and jump and avoid attacks in real time. Builds are pretty flexible, and there are plenty of people who'll help you out.
The RP community is rather large and the majority of them are friendly as heck.
I've had a lot of good experiences on this game and totes recommend it for anyone lookin' for a gorgeous layout, hilarious and snarky dialogue, and endless ways to decorate your own space and yourself? Go for it.

I have loved wildstar since launch. It is a shame that most MMO players are so addicted to world of warcraft that any other IP's dont get the chance they deserve.

Great game with a cool casual twist.
Its ftp. The ftp model so far seems legit and honest. DL this game, play, explore and give it a chance. Its starts to get really interesting after lvl 10.
You can sub or buy things from the cash shop. But not PTW other than subs get xp bonuses and some other goodies. Cash shop consists of usual goodies to change looks and mounts etc etc.
I think its worth throwing a few bucks in to support the devs.
The world itself is very cool and the unique art style coupled with funny voice acting is a treat. The combat is great and can be fast or slow depending on where you are. The world bosses are stunning and the community are very intuitive and willing to lend a hand. Great crafting system coupled with, well its just different. Come check it out.
EDIT-03/17- Now that I have some hours behind me. This game is still a treat. The population is stable and there never seems to be an issue finding groups and raids. The crafting is fun. The PVP is great and just a very under rated MMO. Its a shame really. If Carbine had WoW's budget or GW2 moolah, dang. Great community. Good guilds and really ridic housing. I dont think I have seen this much attention given to housing, or should i say mansioning?? LOL.
Its free. What do you have to lose? Pop in and say, sup.

I recommend this game to anyone, but sadly my toaster of a laptop can't run it. The 14 and a half hours that I've logged into this game was spending a long time making my character, play the tutorial, crash, rinse and repeat. Wasn't the game's fault that it crashed. Turns out that my crappy graphics card can't handle the open-world thing that this game has, and so I can't play the full game. But yeah, that's my only complaint. Go play this wonderful game, but make sure you have a computer more powerful than a melted toaster.

This game has a stunning pve/story levelling experience, but the real reward is at endgame for me! I love to raid, and the raiding experience is nothing short of my favorite of any MMO I've played. (My actual time played as of writing this review is somewhere in 2000 hours, and I almost solely log in to raid at this point). It's active, engaging, and challenging, no matter how many times you clear an encounter.
However, if raiding isn't for you, in the endgame you can also fill your time with housing. Wildstar has the most beauftiful, fleshed out housing of any MMO by miles. Though I've never finished my own housing plot, there's hundreds of hours to be found there if that's what you enjoy! There's also an active RP community.
Wildstar has tons of beautiful zones, things to see, and do. This MMO owns my heart, and I doubt I'll ever be able to fully commit to another as long as it exists.

I've been playing wildstar off and on since launch. I firmly beleive that it is the most fair and upfront f2p mmo's out there. With most of the cash shop items avaliable via an in game currency f2p players will have no problem standing side by side with subscribed players in any form of content.
Wildstar has a unique asthetic that seems to be love it or hate it and alongside that it has a combat system that truly does take some getting used to. So if you want a game that's familiar to what you've played in the past then this isn't the game for you. But if you want a high skill cieling game that has dark souls level of gratification after downing a boss this is the game for you!
Suggestions:
1. FIND A GUILD - The best place to find a guild is through the wildstar reddit. Head over there and try to find some people who are like minded. Having people to help you and guide you into Wildstar is an absolute must!
2. USE CHAT - Queing sucks in this game but the community is awesome! If you're trying to get something done do a /n to enter nexus chat and ask. Most of the time people are totally willing to help.
3. MAKE FRIENDS - This compounds with 1 and 2. Bolster your friends list with people to play with! Hell you can add me and hit me up if you need some help. IGN: Tearie Hex
4. TRY THE MOUSELOOK MODE - So this is a mode that makes the game feel more like Tera or Neverwinter turning your left and right mouse click into skills as well as locking your camera to your mouse. This little feature can make a HUGE difference for a lot of people and it could make the difference for you. To enable this go to the escape menu > Controls > and check the top 3 boxes in the mouselook mode section.
I hope these little tips help you when starting out! Head into nexus with an open mind and a willingness to play a game that approaches combat in a different way and you'll have a lot of fun!

I wish steam had a neutral feature because i am going to be listing a lot of negative aspects but also a lot of posotives.
Do i think you should give wildstar a try?
Yes. Absoloutly 100%
I may not have the steam hours but i am a wildstar Veteran i started playing since it's first ever closed beta and i have 4 characters level 50 (2 for both factions.)
The combat system is fluid the voice acting is great and the housing is fantastic if you have an imagination.
But here come the negatives, the game isn't exactly doing well and seems to have 2 feet in the grave at this point it is rare you will find another player aside from the capital city or the starting zone in addition to this quing for PVP takes forever and is a pain if you just want a quick match before bed or something.
In addition to this if you are like me and don't have a guild or have no interest in raiding and don't want to wait for the PVP que wildstar becomes a bit lackluster after a while.
Once you have your character decked out it becomes harder and harder to have fun.
NCSOFT is focusing on skin packs rather than new area's and when they do add new area's they aren't that appealing to anyone. For example they added Arcterra on paper sounds like an amazing idea.
Multiple world bosses whichever faction kills the most unlocks a dungeon for their faction great idea!
Problem is arcterra is just boring its piles of snowy mountains with a few bosses and without a group there is no way you will defeat them in time.
With all this being said wildstar is amazing for it's journy, leveling up to 50 for the first time is one of the most satisfying experiances i have ever had & the reaction of my guild when i announced i had finally reached 50 puts a smile on my face everytime i think about it.
I reccomend wildstar highly just don't expect to have lots and lots to do if you are Solo or don't plan on joining a large guild in endgame.

Top shelf fun here, just needs more players. It's F2P so TRY IT. Never got the advertisement or the chance it REALLY deserved, and it's a shame because the game has some really great stuff.
Cons - WoW in space vibe.
Cartoonish graphics some people can't seem to get past.
Needs more players to really shine.
Storylines can occasionally venture into cliche territory.
Pros - WoW in space vibe.
Cartoonish graphics look less dated than "realistic" games, with time.
Graphics also very stylized, atmospheric and expressive, awesome art.
Existing community rocks, very helpful/friendly.
LOTS to do, frequent minigames help break up monotony, from fending off hordes of animals to hoverboard time trials to picking up trash, and tons more.
Lots to explore, plenty of things to discover and new things/areas to see.
Great storylines, even when venturing into clicheville, there's enough substance to make it an enjoyable ride.
Great sense of humor, doesn't take itself too seriously, frequently irreverent, even to the point of poking fun at the aforementioned storyline cliches. Evil space corporation Protostar and its ads/disclaimers for example.
Space bikinis for big ol' jiggly butts.
Player housing is really pretty cool, and has some TANGIBLE benefits depending on your tradeskill selections etc.
Decent crafting system. It's not as involved as say, Star Wars Galaxies, but there's an experimentation and discovery element to it that puts it a notch above most games.
JUST TRY IT. Thank me later.
