I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
- Review below ----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dale Hardshovel HD is the remastered edition of Dale Hardshovel, mostly the graphics and the additional worlds are different. And levels have not changed. This game is a matching game, the aim is to clear all items of a level by matching twins or trios of the same item in a limited amount of time. It remembers me this kind of game, he it's not that one, on the first mobile phone with a color screen. The mechanisms of the game are easy to learn and master, some levels are really challenging. There are also some environments to be aware of or to use, such as: weak blocks, sticky black oil, moving spikes, portals, magnet... (*): There is only one main glitch that is required in order to finish some levels. In one level you need to pause the game while using a moving platform to save time. Without doing that, you are always running out of time. This is still a great game to play, and I recommend to use my guide if needed to finish the game or getting the achievements.

Like many Unity games on Linux, this is clunky. The main problem is that mouse clicks often don't register. When timing is critical, such as getting a block onto one of the "elevator" platforms, that is fatal. I often have to make multiple attempts to get a block onto the moving lift, all while the timer is ticking down. This game may well work flawlessly under Windows, but don't sell it as Linux-compatible if it isn't! I've given up in frustration and un-installed it.

The story is about Dale Hardshovel, an Australian archaeologist. While working in his study, he gets a visit from his daughter (Daisy). She has an old roll of papyrus that needs to be translated for her exhibition. The papyrus intrigues Dale, who then checks his archaeologist-network and discovers that the inscription is the belonging of an ancient brotherhood from Egypt. The only key to the translation is the mysterious Bloomstone. Now, the problem is that the secret is hidden in the Big Pyramid, guarded by Anubis, an ancient Egyption deity. Dale has to solve 100 puzzles and to collect all the missing pieces of the Bloomstone. He will discover that there is much more to the challenge when getting further on his quest. The aim of the game is to match items together to make them disappear. When all items are gone, you progress onto the next level. I tried it a few times and must say that it requires a lot of thinking and pondering to solve the puzzles. Fortunately there is a hint-system in place if you are really stuck. 🙂 Some of the more recently released match-three (and similar) games are easier than this one, but for those looking to twist their brains a bit, thinking of how to solve puzzles, this game is highly recommended. PS: Have played this game on another platform too (AmigaOS 4), so have played for more than apx. 2 hours as recorded here on Steam. ;-)

It is a broken remake piece of **** of a 5? year old game. Contrary to the gameplay video your timer counts down from a set number and when it reaches 0 you lose, good luck finishing a level where you have 2 minutes and the (old) youtube walkthrough takes 3:55. Maybe it is a difficult setting but that doesent matter since there are no options (that work) There is a way to finish each level thou... you can still move the objects around if you pause the game... but that is not a "feature" i praise. request refund immediately
