Plain and simple. Warcraft 2 vibe with some up to date game ideas and its ALL in a good way. 2 playable races and campaigns already ready with more on the way like orcs elves gnomes goblins and more to add to the humans and dwarves already playable. Having an absolute blast with this game... so grab a 4 pack, toss em out to your buds, and play classic rts matches like old school is new school. Its a lot of fun! :) Edit: Upon a week after my purchase I even more HIGHLY recc the game.. the amount of patches, bug fixes, and even some new content that came out is awesome. I WATCHED the dev nit pick each bug from the forums and fix it within hours of finding them. He even took community ideas like making the gryphon rider a buildable unit and others! If you are an RTS gamer or just a wargamer, or just a fan of something truly awesome this game deserves your $ in all honesty. I bought a 4 pack.... I might just buy a few more!

FANTASTIC, Most of my friends were turned off by the graphics so my friend gifted the game to all of them about 5 of them and they love the game since we play civ v however we never finished a game because it takes to damn long but this is like a breath of fresh air of course it has it's faults two of them being that the races are.......limited however that doesnt really matter the second being the ai being able to multitask insanly so andrettin breh, you could make it so they move at a slower pace but a step above normal is too hard even for my friend that 3v1nd us in wyrmsum so fix it but other than that do you like strategy? if yes buy this game BUY IT ! You will be doing yourself a favor :D

This game is "like" Warcraft 2 with a good amount of new mechanics and gameplay improvement. However, the AI is terrible. The AI knows where you are, will attack you in the first minute of every custom game. I'm not enjoying the game as much as I thought because of that. Unless you're really GOOD at RTSs, you'll have a hard time.

If you loved Warcraft 1-2 its an nice game. If your like abit more modern games like Warcraft 3 its not a game for you.

I love it. It feels really really oldskool. I've been playing videogames for well over 10 years since i've started out in the early 2000's. This brings back the memory of me playing my new game at my parents' house, in my room, on my windows 98 desktop.. Anyway, the development is going rather slow, but, for an one-man team, this dev is doing a great job. He's always making sure he pays attention to every little detail in the game. There's also a lot of lore & history included, which is always nice for a deeper experience. This could become big, but for now, it's just my little weekly trip down nostalgia-lane. 8/10

Wyrmsun wins the RTS game of the year award in my book, if you like RTS games and you like games like "King of Dragon Pass" then you will love Wyrmsun. Wyrmsun is my favorite budget title i have played on steam its my addiction right now and i am glad i bought it. it took me a while to figure out how to play the game right but once you understand how to play correctly it gives you a good feeling and it becomes addicting. i feel i will be a Wyrmsun Warrior for a long time to come, as long as the developer keeps making new content i will be playing it. Get this game folks seriously you won't regret it! i rate Wyrmsun 90 out of 100 points, in other words i love this game!

Open source oldschool RTS based on the good old Stratagus Warcraft-based engine. It adds quite a bunch of improvements and interesting ideas. There are some quirks with the window management if you plan to play windowed with grab mouse enabled, but I expect the upcoming Godot rewrite will help with that.

It reminded me of Warcraft 2. It gave me same feelings as I was kid and launched that game for my first time. And it has deep and more complex stuff. It's cheap and it's fun. I had a battle with AI, it lasted for more than 1 hour. AI spend all his gold and couldn't afford swordsmen and started to zerg me with farmers. They started to steal my resources! I was mad at them. After a long sick battle I finally got up on my feet, prepared my army and send them to destroy that big deserted village AI has abandoned, I felt sweet revenge and anger, it was final task to complete this quest, a few more hits to that building and win and... CRITICAL ERROR. Yup, I had my laughs about it, I was so into it I forgot to save the game.

This game has suffered a severe feature creep that doesn't fit it's style at all. I used to enjoy it a lot more when it was simpler, more to the point, but it's a big bloat right now, without the base gameplay to back it up any more. Units are so very tiny but they still drop items, gain levels, must be micromanaged like if they were as big and beefy as in Warcraft 3, which doesn't feel good at all. You're constantly struggling to micro and at the same time deal with way too many resources, research and meaningless features that only detract from the main game.

This is my strategy game of 2015. It tingels in all the right places. It feels like Warcraft 2. And not in a bad way. I have a feeling I am going to sink quiet a few hours into this game. I recomend for a awsome trip down nostalgia lane. Five thumbs up.
