One of the best hunting games I have ever played. And I have played a lot of them. This game reminds me of the good old deer hunter days. If they added another call or 2 and cleaned a couple things up this game could be a true masterclass.

Coming from an Avid deer hunter this game is the most realistic I have played. From planting food plots to scouting and finding sheds. It has a solid foundation on what hunting really is. Scouting seems to be on point from finding sheds, deer trails, rubs and scrapes. The Deer and the racks are unique and look really good. The map maker is my favorite as I like to replicate areas that I hunt here at home.
Things I would like to see improved:
-The audio needs to be improved. You will not hear the deer until the are literally 5 yards from you. Also would like some deer vocalizations such as grunting, snort wheezing, and doe bleating.
-The game has a wind checker but from what I've seen wind does not seem to matter at all which is a bummer.
-It would be nice to have some more rack variations. I think there is 5 or 6 that I've noticed so far.
-Lastly it would be nice to have more deer on the map at a time. The most I've seen is 6 at any given time and it would be more realistic to see doe family groups and buck bachelor groups in the late season.
The game overall is good and has a solid foundation to build off of. Does it need some updates absolutely. But for $20 its a solid buy.

The game is fun and i enjoy it. But i feel like it could use some work, being able to tell distance is hard when your bow hunting so i wish you had a range finder. Wish you could aim down the sights of the lever action, shotgun, and muzzle loaders. The map creation is easy once you learn but deer don't seem to spawn in. Deer also being able to jump a fence to escape is good but bad at the same time, forcing you to make a good shot but not being able to track much if they jump it. One other bad small thing that brothers me but isn't really important is that i wish the side by side speedometer would work. I have played the game a lot since buying it and i love it just feels like it needs some work to bring it over the top for being an amazing game and it brings that real life of hunting and i recommend the game to people who love hunting as much as i.

This is THE most realistic deer hunting game that’s ever been made. I’m currently building a farm that looks just like mine in real life lol. This is amazing. In game, I planted my food plots, hung my trail cams and ladder stands and scouted rubs and scrapes and bedding areas. You can hunt early archery season, rifle and muzzleloader. I planted soybeans for early archery. 10|10 and major props to the devs for building this true to life hunting game. You have nothing but my full support. Thank you

I may not have as many hours on the game as some, HOWEVER if you are looking for a dang good hunting game and I mean a hunting game that mimics how deer actually blend into there environment like real life this is the game for you.
With that being said there are a few places i think need to be addressed, your character could use with a quicker walking speed or possibly a run/sprint option just to make it more convenient getting to the stand to start your hunt. When your planting crops prior to the start of the hunting season it needs to have a completion animation or at-least a planted animation so the player knows they actually planted the field. The deer model itself isn't bad but the neck looks off for some reason, maybe that's a personal preference not sure. It would be nice to harvest more than one deer a hunt and take it back to camp not sure if that is in the game but i shot a buck and a doe and only had the option to retrieve the first one i loaded into the Side by side/ATV. Speaking of the ATV riding around in it feels bland it needs to have more physics added to it like when you go over a different terrain the ATV reacts to it, also maybe have an option to change the steering controls for the ATV.
Thanks been enjoying the game thus far and its definitely a winner if the developers keep at it.

If you're a deer hunter there's a lot to like about this game, creating food plots, trail camera's, buck rubs and deer trails. The one thing I wish it had is an actual deer management where the deer you shoot or decide not to shoot affected the deer herd the following year. That way the deer that didn't get shot one year can grow a little bit bigger the next year.

The game is a ton of fun, it has a realistic feel to it that really sets it apart from other hunting games. Being a avid hunter with over 25 years of hunting experience, this game really hits home to the style of hunting I do here in the Appalachian regions of Pennsylvania. I've tried all of the big hitter hunting games, like "TheHunter:Classic", "Call of the Wild" and "Way of the Hunter", just to name a few. This game easily gives me the most authentic feeling of actually hunting, from the planting of food plots, scouting deer trails, finding stand locations, setting trail cameras then getting in your tree stand, sitting and waiting.
Things I feel that would really put this game over the top would be introducing much larger maps to manage, many more antler configurations, better deer animations, more tree and foliage options, the options to add water to areas on your maps like streams and ponds, he ability to manage your deer herds (for example selective harvest would effect your overall deer quality in both numbers and antler size).
The negatives to the game are as follows in no particular order.
- The game feels unfinished
- The price point is a bit much for a game this developed
- There are limited graphics settings
- The overall deer animations are clunky for a animal like Whitetail that are generally very graceful (especially while running)
- The controls and movements are clunky
- Maps are too small
- The gun play is well below average with all weapons
- There's is no dynamic weather
- The sound effects aren't very good
Overall, I would recommend the game to those that are looking for a more realistic hunting game that caters to hunting out of a tree stand. This game offers a charm you simply won't find anywhere else when comparing it to other hunting titles. So if you don't mind playing a new game that feels more like a game from the early 2000s, but want a more realistic hunting experience, you will probably enjoy this game. If you're looking for a game that feels like a game that was developed post 2020, you're probably better off looking somewhere else.
