This game is awful. This game isn't funny, its just crap. The positive reviews for this game are either jokes, or lies. No one who's reviewed it has played more than 2.6 hours. The game costs £0.79, still not worth buying. If the 'Developers' make an effort, this game could be interesting, and not just a meme with no [strike] re [/strike] playability. Edit: Actually, some guy has spent: "39.2 hrs on record" and gave it a positive. Okay then. Sorry I guess this game is great or something, fucking 39.2 hours.

The Developers have been updating quite a bit. This game needs work but it is still fun for people that like old school arcade games. 8/10 in my book.

EDITED REVIEW AFTER 6 MONTHS: I am changing this review because the game and the developer have both shown a lot of improvement. First let me say that the developer is human and it's not an easy job. Gamers are quick to espouse their opinions and rarely offer the same degree of politeness expected in person. It can be very hard to hear harsh criticism from strangers when you have shown the bravery to share your art with the world at large and sometimes hurt feelings can lead you to make rash decisions. In this case the developer has matured and taken the criticisms to heart. He has stopped censoring opinions and put a lot of hard work into his game. It shows and it is appreciated. I now support this developer and look forward to his future work. I would also like to apologize if I offended Jake from Statefarm at any stage of the process. WARNING: Another developer who deletes negative criticism posts and bans users for them. Avoid this game and developer at all costs. The User CashPanda and myself have both had forum posts with negative, but constructive criticism deleted as well as being banned with the following message "You have been permanently banned from all The Lost Battalion: All Out Warfare discussions. You were banned by a The Lost Battalion: All Out Warfare developer. Reason: "Toxic behavior"" There is NO ROOM on Steam for developers like this. I am having trouble recommending this game for any reason. I am a huge supporter of indie games and can usually find a redeeming idea or element of execution, but here I have no hope. The whole game is less functional and rewarding than ANY game you will find on the free flash game websites like Armor Games, etc. This game is merely a series of static screens consisting of one length scroll right, one left with endless waves of stupid enemies that come along. There is no point other than try to beat your score. As if that wasn't bad enough, it's wonky and unpredictable. Jump up and down a few times and you will randomly ending up in "the mud" and instantly die. Walk to the right and you might end up in the mud and instantly die. It's incredibly bad at this point and while I do believe in cutting low priced games some slack, I would tell my friends to stay away even if it was free. This is a course in how NOT to develop games. This team seems to have failed to develop a concept or design document even though they have been working on this for "8 months". I do not have any interest in being mean or hurting the feelings of this team but this type of production has no place on Steam. It is damaging to the overall quality of the platform when an aimless team sells something that an average newcomer could make himself in 5-7 days with Game Maker. Developer, please consider taking your game down from the store until you have a concept. This is in response to the only post on the forum at this time which is from you asking us from gameplay ideas. This is NOT how to make games. I wish you better luck in the future, please study our industry a bit and learn the steps to making a game that is going to be enjoyed and appreciated by others if not a commercial success.

Don't waste the $2 on it. You can play games that are better on shockwave.com for free. This game reminds me of something you would learn how to make in school back in 1998. Should have spent the $2 on a couple Mc Doubles from Mc Donalds. But at least I fed the game maker a cheap Micky D's meal for their efforts. Audio is funny though,

I was one who actually pushed for this game to come out. I had hopes for it, I was told many things about it from the dev and none of it actually happened. I think with some time, some loooong time. Some long long long time and schooling this "Idea" Could be put together into an actual game. "Imma blow your heads of" Made me want to blow my head offf, dude, go to school and make this game a game and not something done on flash

Don't get me wrong, it's a good game. But it's definitely not worth buying and downloading. The graphics and gameplay are more reminiscent of online flash games than anything you'd find on the Steam store. Terribly simple and easily boring.

It is unfortunate that The Lost Battalion: All Out Warfare is not much fun. As an old-style game set in World War One, the idea has potential - but that potential is sadly never achieved (it's not even close). At first glance, it looks to be a retro-style game which could provide a bit of light entertainment. However, the lack of quality in the graphics and gameplay are not made up for by any other aspect of the game. You can do a bit of shooting with a machine-gun (with a slow reload), and use some in-game cards to boost your character's performance. The enemies keep on coming, facilitating a grind of side-scrolling gameplay. There are some red barrels to be found, which I had assumed would blow up (at least that might add a bit of life to the game), but they don't. All in all, it's a bit ho-hum. There's not much fun and enjoyment to be had in this game - at least, not from my point of view. The Lost Battalion: All Out Warfare is not worth buying, as it's just not very good. It lacks quality and soul. 3/10

So I've played a bit of the game, and I'm surprised that this game actually gave me a good time in playing it. It brought me back to the time when I had an Atari (when I was 4-5 years old). There were a load of Arcade games, just like this one and I had the time of my life playing them back in the day :d. I bought the game with a coupon 50 % off. For 50 cents, this game is great. I see there are a lot of negative reviews. Its like when people buy a 1 euro/dollar game, they expect Skyrim, or something ? The game answers to it's price. It is good, and I had a lot of fun playing it. :) Good job , Dev/Devs, don't be influenced by the negative reviews, you did a fairly good job :).
