Drill for oil like it's 1899! Turmoil offers players a visually charming, tongue-in-cheek take on the simulation genre inspired by the 19th century oil rush in North America.

it gets boring after you spend 5 hours on a run just to lose and have to do it all over again overall good game other than that though

Turmoil is like a love letter to the old-school oil rush days, except instead of dusty cowboys and horses, you’re a slick businessman trying to strike it rich by drilling for oil. You build your empire, battle rival oil barons, and, of course, try to avoid bankrupting yourself in the process. The gameplay revolves around buying land, drilling for oil, and trying to sell it for a profit, but watch out! It’s a cutthroat world out there, and the market can shift at any moment. It’s surprisingly addicting, and the mix of strategy, timing, and market manipulation makes it far more intense than you’d expect from a game about drilling for oil. Plus, there’s the added bonus of being able to throw some serious shade at your rivals. It’s a quirky and fun strategy game that’s perfect for anyone who loves a good business challenge.

The game is super fun! I've owned it for years now and I always find myself going back to it. It's very intuitive and easy to pick up, and super fun! :)

Very fun game, surprisingly addictive and easy to pick up (after completing tutorial). Other players can be very good competition in new multiplayer mode as the NPC's can be beaten fairly easily in story mode. I've spent more time playing this game than I care to admit.

Turmoil is a charming and addictive oil drilling sim with a simple yet engaging gameplay loop. Striking the perfect balance between strategy and resource management, it keeps you hooked as you compete for land, upgrade your equipment, and maximize your profits. A relaxing yet satisfying experience for strategy fans!

Buy land > Find oil > Build silo > Pump oil into silo > wait for better prices > Upgrade silo/pumps > price hits 1,20 > cant afford horses . Good Game

The main concept is sort of catchy and the gameplay offers a little something of a new impression, but grows lackluster immediately after realising that. It is brutally easy to master and every key decision during one stage is maxed out after seeing the main loop two or three times. The game mechanics do not offer themselves at all towards a multiplayer experience and it seems like a forced decision to implement that. If that effort went into a better campaign this could have unlocked a lot more potential. Grabbed this at a 75% discount, which seems fair for what's being offered, but considering the actual price tag this is a very clear thumbs down.
