As a kid i could not stand RPG's (Nintendo era). I thought they were the most ridiculous kind of games. Pointless, i thought to myself. All the time i would make it a point to how stupid RPG games are. They were SOOOO boring. Just sitting there watching my friends play. I look at the TV screen & see nothing really going on. I looked at my friend & he looked like it hurt so bad to think. I mean they were really into this sh*t! It was years later that i saw the back of the FFX game box that i saw the graphics looked cool. So i thought it must have been something other than a RPG. Boy was i wrong. And boy i was pissed! It was a quiet weekend w/ no parents home so i figured ill give FFX a whirl before i return it. At 1st since i was new to the RPG game it was very frustrating. Once i got the button layout & used to the button presses, IT WAS ON! I was addicted. This was the very 1st game that made me really emotional. I felt as if i was there w/ Tidus, Yuna, Kimi, Lu-Lu, Rikku, & of course the Bad-Ass Sir Auron. It was as if i was on this epic journey. Pilgrimage. Adventure. Choose one cuz it was all of those then some. I did't want this journey that we set out on to end. It was very giving in that way making sure we had plenty of hours in this game. I am a big fan of the Turned-Base, grind em' out style. Having a chance to make your characters straight up beasts if u use them right. Magic, mayhem, sword swinging, potion-making, fun ass adventure. Laughs and cries. I admit i was pretty close to tearing up myself. In an goose-bump stick together, ride-or-die, I got ur back type of emotion. The graphics. Man, don't even get me stared. Look at games from around 2000 give or take a year or 2. Then look at this one. The cut scenes are still to this day will give u the "Wow" factor being from 25 years ago. There are so many things u can do. Side quests, dumb little games, secret weapons ect. The 1 thing i didn't like about this game was that there were some parts when they are talking. They act & say the corny-cheesy-ass staight up dumb things (especially Tidus). Only tiny bit. Here and there. The upgrading system is pretty cool too. It's a grid-based system. All of ur partys names are scattered all ove rthe grid & u can connt to the next dot or bubble or what ever. U can choose which direction u want to take each of ur team. Which kind of style of fighter thingy or whatever. They ecah have they're own unigue attributes, specials, magic, ect. Some more phyical. The others more magical. Anyway i don't want to give anything away cuz im really starting to get into this. This game is $30. It might seem high but this game was stupid awesome and it's been remastered with other options. Cool ones too. I hate the fact that the Final Fantasy games refuse to give us fans and gamers a break on the prices. Even with the sales man. Especially Intergrade & Crisis Core. The sale and regular prices should be way better than that seeing that they keep making a hunfred different FFVII's. I know 7 was good and all, but Jesus Crizzy! 10 was one of the best too. It would be nice if Square Enix would make a FFX remake or 12. If for some reason u like or love RPG's & FF games & u never played 10, then it's worth the price even today. It is on sale all the time so theres that. Now FYI, i said FFx was amazingly great, NOT FFX-2. There are 2. IDK what the hell they were thinking doing 10-2 . I give FFX seriously like a 95. This is my fav FF game. But i haven't played the remakes of FFVII. Cheers-

Unfortunately with all the crashes and green screens I can't recommend this one. The game was good for it's time, but this port is just horrible. I shouldn't have to go to some guys post and download a fix, when the people that was happy to take my money could of fixed this themselves. They don't care about this game and I don't care about writing a good review for something that is half a#$ed.

Bought it ages ago at this point, and waited for SE to fix the botch job they did on the character faces, skyboxes, and environmental lighting. Unfortunately the fixes never came, and the face models are completely off, and the facial animations that were so ahead of their time in 2001 are so much stiffer due to the animation data just not working with the new models. Really a shame, but sadly par for the course for SE's handling of their remasters. The only one they nailed was FFXII. If you can play the original, absolutely choose that over paying for what is a visually inferior/flawed version.

This game crashes constantly for no apparent reason. Exiting menus, exiting fights, etc. results in the game becoming non-responsive altogether.

Game crashes when I try and save the game, it's unplayable. Some reason Windows Security is blocking save game files. Work around - Windows Security>virus & threat protection>Protection history>allow

One of the greats! The remaster does not fully capture everything that made the PS2 version a masterpiece and optimization on PC is not the best but it's still Final Fantasy X. If you haven't played it already, please do! "This is it. This is your story."

Great game, but the constant crashes make it impossible for me to recommend. Terrible port.

One of the best games in the series and still looks pretty good despite it's age. Has a very long story mode and you can easily lose many hours playing Blitzball. Awesome characters and a fun unique way to develop them. Beautiful music and some well done voice acting helps deliver an amazing experience. The "sequel" didn't slap quite as hard but was honestly still a fun story to play through. Definitely check it out if you are getting into the series!
