so good def an old game needs a remaster but still so good

Really really terrible age of empires clone. Like it's not even fun for the nostalgia value of it being a copy of age of empires with a star wars coat of paint. It's uncreative, sloppy, annoying, agonizingly slow, and boring. The sound design makes me want to staple my ears shut and the graphics genuinely hurt my eyes to look at. Even at 6 dollars it's not worth it, I wouldn't touch this game again if you paid me. People who are rating this positive are 20000% nostalgia blind. Get Empire at War instead, or even save up and get Age of Empires.

Classic city building game featuring the Star Wars universe!

very awesome another classic game i got to enjoy with my brother to bring us closer!

I grew up with this game. I loved it as a kid. I wanted empire at war but ended up getting this and I loved it anyway. As an adult im trying to play again and there is one problem that ruins the game Difficulty If you have it too low then the ai doesn't attempt to do anything and they're easy to beat. But if you put it on hard the ai is almost unbeatable. They get resources faster than you, they get units faster than you and before you can even start an army you got one hundred tanks, starfighters and air cruisers coming after you. I have to constantly restart games cause I just cant win. I spam workers, make walls and turrets early and I still get overrun. It's not fair. It's impossible and the only way I avoid losing every time is I evacuate my base and build a base in the forest in a open space surrounded by tree's where the ai cant get me and I slowly wear them down. I'm currently playing with the expanding fronts mod and its a nightmare. The new factions are extremely unbalanced. The difficulty of the ai makes it invincible. This is unbeatable on hard difficulty. There is no way you can beat the ai with its lightning fast building speed. It's unfair and makes me want to stop playing every time. Empire at war is a million times better. At least the ai doesnt have an army of thousands ten minutes into the match. I loved this game as a kid but as an adult the game is unbalanced, unfair and unfun. Losing every time I play is not my idea of fun.

grew up playing this game and now my children play it! absolutely amazing game!

Je ne suis pas un grand joueur de RTS, simplement parce que je n'ai pas grandi avec un ordinateur à la maison. Mais le genre m'a toujours fort intrigué. Ce titre me satisfait assez pleinement et expand assez coolment le lore de Star Wars (noter que ce n'est plus "canon").

Not sure if it's just me but I have constant issues with screen flicker and game crashes. This used to run fairly well but now I cannot play it due to the crashing.

Star Wars + Age of Empires 1/2 = This game as it's basically a clone of Age of Empires. It does everything those games do just with a Star Wars reskin over it and all of it is done incredibly well to where it fits and feels fun to play and it's a good starting point for if you want to get into those games too.
