I love the game RUST and this looked a lot like RUST so I thought for $1.99 I would give it a try and I do understand that it is still in BETA but I really had a hard time playing this game. I couldn't get out of a car, I couldn't get to a ladder where I was able to drive a car next to it but wasn't able to walk to it. I wasn't able to see my inventory, wasn't able to do a lot of what was shown in the preview. So I would not tell anyone that they should purchase this game until they are able to do more with it. I did only play it for 40 minutes but I was going to turn it off after 15 minutes but thought that I needed to give it more time.

This game is still developing and I cannot wait to see the final product. It will be a fun game to play once finished. Even though it is a survival game you have options. You can simply create to your heart's content without the need of items, you can get rid of the wild animals that can harm you and the monsters to have a relaxing build, or you can roam the map without being bothered. There are many options and game styles to fit those who just wish to create or survive, so early on in the game developing too! Which is a difficult find. I hope this game will have a multi-player feature in the future I would love to play this with my friends.

I definitely would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a simple style survival game, the graphics are great for their lower quality appeal. The game play is an entry level into the survival style gaming world in my opinion but i can see the basic mechanics of the game being progressed in the future, as they currently are simple, yet work well. There is a bit of lacking when it comes to a tutorial for the game to give the player direction, along with lacking the names of objects you have within the inventory or what an item is that's required for crafting, its has pictures but that does not do complete justice when trying to seek what materials are needed, names would highly be recommended for sure. Exploring the world seems very simple, not a whole lot at the moment, but much room for a lot more to be added into the world. The AI mechanics during combat are a bit rough, especially when trying to attack, a bit slow and delayed. I will also add the jumping of the player is not quite there, best way to describe (its like your player is crouching down to spring up to jump, so it works best if you hold down space bar for a second, vs just a click of the button, and its very limited as its a bit of a challenge to jump and move in a direction, so obstacles can be challenging). Structures I've encountered in the world happen to be just for appearances, nothing accessible, so that's a bit of a bummer, but as i said before what there is to do, its worked flawlessly for me, so going in the right direction and allows the possibility for much more additions and growth. Working up to crafting items is a bit of a process, so i highly recommend getting wood with rock in hand, then make the stone pick axe to mine ores, stone, then craft stone axe to chop trees faster, collect tons of stone and wood as its needed for a lot of crafting purposes, then try to make the stone club for defense from the aggressive animals or zombies (haven't seen yet): red dots - bears (will run and attack you), yellow dots - boars (attack if you attack them), wolves (run and attack you), green dots - deer, rabbits (they only run away, never attack). Looting: 2 story buildings sometimes have a gun, ammo, items on top of building balcony (cannot enter these buildings), houses with an outhouse in yard, have not found any loot, cannot enter them, and the burned/broken houses, you can break the entrance to them to enter the home, maybe loot but you get wood from breaking the rubble at the entrance. Trees, bushes that seem dead, orange in color, this is the radiation zones, you will take damage if not in a radiation suit. The borders of the map is a huge wall with radiation symbol and lock symbol on it, very small map, seems like possible expansions may be added at a later date, who knows ? lol You need to make a fire after the water well, so you can cook meat from animals to eat, seems to be only way to eat, drinking seems to only be from the well you build. To build or craft anything else pretty much seems you need the work bench to build anything, and the furnace too. So if you just want to build and have fun, not worry too much about anything, then i say use creative mode which is offered as well, the settings for this game give you quite a variety which is nice.

The worst game out there. The developer is lost in his/her own world. No updates since ages and the dev has no plans of any updates. This is just another copy/paste asset garbage. Money grabber developer. Would never recommend such a pathetic game to anyone.

First of all, i have bought it mainly because i used to play this on mobile when i was smaller, and i really really liked it. And after about 6-7 years the game got published on pc/steam, and i was really happy so i bought it for a ridiculously low price (which is/was the same price on mobile). So we can't always expect a 0.79 eur to be the best but considering the game's mobile past it's really not a bad game. (i'm going to refer to the old 2013-14s old mobile version as the "legacy version") PROS:

It is entertaining and quite enjoyable.
Has extremely low requirements.
Low price.
Mid graphics.
Big map, not huge but big.
Nice building mechanics.
Customizability (game mechanics, settings).
Overally huge nostalgia for someone who played this on mobile back in the day.
CONS:

Has some bugs but not game breaking.
The remaster version (i'm gonna talk about it later).
can eventually get bored with it (but it depends on the person who playes it)
So more about the remaster version: I think that the remaster version is more of a downgrade compared to the "legacy" version, i'm talking specifically about the new 3D models which are uglier for example: the hands are shiny, and overally they look much worse than the original. There are some changes in the game's mechanics, for example: when you kill an animal, the loot it drops gets added to your inventory, no matter how far it was from you. For example: when you kill an animal from a 100 meters you get what the animal would drop. This is the same with trees. This is not a really a problem, but i prefer the old loot dropping mechanics that were in the "legacy" version. And i'm missing the old map textures for example the road texture, the grass, etc... i liked it much more. So i'm asking you the developer to make the "legacy" version available to the public on pc, because it is a much better expereince in my opinion.

Okay, this is likely one of the worst mobile game ports to Steam I have ever seen... This game is actually a mobile survival game under the same name and same developer name: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.starshipstudio.thesurvivorremastered For this game to require me to turn the graphics settings all the way to the lowest settings just to stream it in OBS is mind-boggling. (Skylake i5, Nvidia GTX 970, 16 GB RAM but it struggles playing a mobile port, WTF??) Add in the ridiculously stupid animal A.I. and the nine thousand bugs such as animals just falling over dead then getting back up.. then falling over dead, then getting back up etc and this game is an EPIC FAIL AT EVERY LEVEL. ...Oh and you can see the borders of the super small map as big white walls too. Ugh. ..Easily one of the worst survival games on Steam and it makes my infamous M.I.S.S. series: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pm-RwvJSzBE&t=551s NOT RECOMMENDED, even if it were free. My Score: 0 out of 10. 0 out of 100. 0 out of 1,000.
