Clutch Positives: + The music is for the most part good + Ok handling + Open world + Upgrades + Can be fun for a short amount of time Negatives: - Feels grindy and repetitive too fast - Side missions are grindy, no fun and quite hard - Graphics feel dated and washed out - Not enough money for winning, and costly upgrades - The story is boring and makes no sense - Takes a lot of time to unlock all cars and upgrade them (not worth it) If you love zombie squashing and are desperate for a new carmaggeddon clone, this might be a game for you. If youre looking for a high quality game that takes your breath away, this is not the one. To sum it up, there is only one word needed: Medicore. Total Score: 5.5/10

Must have found this game on the side of the highway years ago. One of those true hidden gems that nobody else has every played to the point where its hard to find information about it online. Anywhere. I think in Europe its sold under a different title. Saw it on steam and decided to pick up a copy. I'd say it holds up pretty well. Doesn't take that long to run through the game, maybe a few afternoons and I'd say its worth it. The racing is very intense. 100% inspired by carmageddon except it has much much better races. To be fair there IS a lot of ruberbanding to make the game challenging , and every once in a while a hummer will come roaring up behind you up a hill just before you get to the finish line, but overall I feel like they balanced it extremely well. Still can't seem to beat the massacre level and not a big fan of the destruction derby challenges but 1st person racing, running over zombies with the windshield blood turned on is truly adrenaline pumping. Only complaint is that when you pick up a power up it splashes it across the entire screen blocking your view. Totally forgivable with all of the other things this game has going for it. I personally found that the game aged pretty well, but then again I still dust off Daggerfall every once and a while so take that for what its worth.

Clutch... I actually remember playing this one back in the day! and I just searched it up on Steam to see if it existed! AND IT DID! wow, such nostalgia man, but, this game isn't very good, but not awful either, it's just average, there are definitely better games out there nowadays, but Clutch for its time was pretty alright, the story is bland but charming in a way, and the game still works in 2022 unlike most games which cannot be accessed anymore due to old age or poor remasters, there are a few songs I really like in this one that keep you wanting to slaughter zombies on repeat, speaking of repeating things... this game gets pretty repetitive pretty fast, especially if you go for all the game modes levels completions, but... again... an alright game!

Some things better stay in the past... Now I sure do love me some oldies from the early days, don't get me wrong, but even the nostalgia factor can't defeat the fact these kind of games don't live up to modern standarts. Clutch (also known as Armageddon Riders) is an arcade racing wannabe with a strong Carmageddon vibes all over it. Although it's simplistic nature - you race around collecting colored upgrades for money, nitro and even weapons, smash'n'drive through plethora of brainless zedies and finishing pretty simple racing missions a-la NFSU2 (even open world reminisce the latter) - it can't offer much more. As soon as you play Clutch for an hour and grind for car upgrades you eventually end up bored with obesity and monotonous nature of this game. Everything it tries to do Carmageddon did it much better. And I know Clutch was made by a russian developer team back in 2009 (had been playing it then for some bizarre period of time). But even then you could find other mindless racing titles a-like (Zombie Driver, DIPRIP or even Carmageddon TDR2000) and it would be more fun. The music is another subject I want to point out: it's trash. As far as I remember I was playing the game with it tuned off, better off launch Winamp or some other player that you have with your own choice of tunes. P.S.: the game doesn't support Dualshock 4 natively even after installing DS4Win or changing Steam Controller Layout so the gamepad could be used as an Xbox ones - it only imitates keyboard usage.

Interesting and creepy story, awesome music, zombies, other drivers, bunch of different missions, about 8 cars to unlock, only three can be upgraded.

The concept is nice but the driving lacks any sense of speed or involvement and crashing has no impact. I usually like games like these a lot, but this one bored me within 1 hour

This was nice to play. People who like Carmageddon will probably like this Positives: Good graphics quality. Really good I guess for the time of the release, no worse than in more recent Carmageddon: Reincarnation Fun physics Nice maps with destructive elements and stuff like ramps or tunnels to perform stunts Cars eating zombies Cars setting zombies on fire Cars getting energy from eating and dismembering zombies for a nitro boost You get to race and eat zombies with your car inside the Large Hadron Collider Game-appropriate music that goes well with munching zombies at high speed and wrecking opponents Negatives: An incredibly stupid lore that is hybrid of partially being ripped off S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and adapted to the Cern environment. Serioulsy, if you are trying to get people to play who know what the LHC is, it would be better if you worked more on the lore. Very small selection of cars Campaign's plot is far below average, if the game took itself less seriously, the plot would have been more appropriate. Colours in most places are far less vivid than in Carmageddon and for the amount of nonsense lore the game has, it takes itself too seriously. If it had more of Carmageddon's senseless fun, it would have been better. Overall, I would recommend to buy this game if you like killing zombies with cars and getting bonuses for that. But maybe better to buy this when on sale.

It's really hard for me to recommend Clutch, even despite me spending 11 hours of my life playing it. For one, the PS3 version is the definitive version of the game with many improvements which I will mention later. This game had so much potential but unfortunately, it just comes off as rushed halfway. Only 3 cars out of 8 are customizable, and they have some cars shown in the concept art that don't appear in the game at all. The races are too easy and the car collisions are really bad, you'll ram some cars at full speed and they would BARELY get any damage. The zombies don't even fight back! They only do that when you are stationary, which never happens unless you are afk and forgot to press the pause button. The PS3 version (Armageddon Riders) does make them attack back however, though not much it would have made Clutch have more personality. Zombies themselves aren't varied and all die from a simple tap, so it just comes off as a really bad version of Carmageddon. The story is meh and honestly very badly translated. The map is also very forgettable. If you would like to play Clutch, try to buy the PS3 version (Armageddon Riders) which fixes a lot of the problems, though even then I wouldn't recommend it.
