Always enjoyed the sountrack to Homeworld. I still have the CD that came with the game back in 99 and it's great to see it re-released here along with the sountrack to Homeworld 2, which was never released before. Great music, totally enjoyable :D

Homeworld is dead like Kharak. Greed killed it.

Whoever is in charge of Homeworld's IP you're absolutely trash at selling video games. Go sell your games on Epic Game Store. Your morals are the same as Taiidan Empire in game format. Literally blew up your loyal fan's interest in this game with absolute greed.
Get what you are owed. If they say "You aren't entitled to shit," then they aren't entitled to my attention nor $ ever again.
"3d real time space battle. The format already laid out. Nobody could mess that up!"

There's enough in this release and Paul Ruskay's music is great so I'd love to recommend it, but I bought it specifically because the original OST release had hideous audio clipping on some tracks, and those are the tracks missing from the re-release. By (I assume) cheaping out and not re-licencing those tracks, they robbed us of the ability to get a clean release of the soundtrack's best music.

Why is this soundtrack missing the Choiral arrangement of Adagio for Strings? it's literally the only reason I bought it and its not on there.....lame

This DLC is mostly sound effects from cutscenes, very little actual music. Missing the most moving pieces of music from the game itself. Nothing but a cash grab.

I won't recommend this until they add Agnus Dei...I bought the soundtrack particularly for this piece and then end up finding it's missing??

No Samuel Barber' Agnus Dei, no Homeworld by Yes and no Super Nova Station intro...
At least they tried to re-release all the tracks - thumb up for a good will ;-)

An excellent (in my opinion) and highly original soundtrack for the first Homeworld game. It features ambient electronic music mixed with an orchestra and some amazing middle-eastern influences ('Turanic Raiders', 'Imperial Battle' and 'Swarmers Attack' show the middle-eastern influences to their fullest extent).
I do recommend this soundtrack, especially to further support Gearbox and Blackbird Interactive, but there are a couple of caveats.
First, Homeworld's rendition of Agnus Dei/Adagio for Strings is missing, which is a rather big shame in my opinion. The second is that the credits song 'The Ladder' (by Yes) is also missing, but that doesn't bother me so much (personally). Gearbox have apparently been unable to get liscensing for the song so it's missing from the Homeworld Remastered Collection as well (even the Classic version).
If you'd really like to have Adagio for Strings and/or The Ladder, the Homeworld vets created a 'Community Soundtrack' for both games a while ago. You can find and download the Homeworld 1 soundtrack here (or Google it if you're paranoid about links):

Still, I bought the Remastered Collection OSTs because I quite frankly wanted to throw more money at Gearbox and Blackbird Interactive. Because shrug.

I bought this specifically for the original track "Tears of Karan" which was a vocal version Adagio for Strings. I didnt realize until after my purchase that this track is absent from the collection. I cannot recommend until this track is included unfortunately.
