I'll start by saying that both Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape are very short, but interesting to play. Personally, I found the first DLC way more interesting, it features a beautiful mansion, some cool puzzle mechanics with items you collect while completing the level, and great gimmick fights both with monsters and with Albert Wesker at the end. The second DLC didn't excite me as much as the first, my friend and I played it on the hardest difficulty, and it felt like millions of endless monsters throwing themselves at us throughout every level. However, the ending was a bit dramatic, which was cool.

This DLC is cool, fun and different from the main game, but ♥♥♥♥ you for not putting a double coop door check before the Wesker boss cutscene. My coop partner didn't have a pistol because I kept walking.

Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape are both solid additions to RE5. Lost in Nightmares is the prologue the main game should have started with. The pacing is slowed down immensely to appeal to the OG horror fans. Desperate Escape plays like Chapter 6-1 with fast-paced action and gunplay. Versus mode is fun to goof around with friends for a couple games, but don't expect any players to be searching for matches.
