TLDR; limited feature browser that suits for children with advanced bookmarking ability. update again, dev responding to this review but steam didn't send any notice #hammers PC -> PANDA SERVER -> WEB 1) We are not sure how making a local list of links can help users with limited connection if all it stores is a *link* to remote content anyway :D. No apparent pluses but one evident minus - content is not synchronized - loosing cloud benefits. that's the point. the browser MUST go online. it almost like chromeOS. you're half dead when there's no internet connection while using chromeOS. but it more similar to opera mini browser. which all request MUST go through their server. so, no [strike]localhost or[/strike] open file.html from browser. anyway, you know that local list means for localhost. local list won't synchronize to anywhere except to its localhost. 2) Password reset: http://steamcommunity.com/app/349280/discussions/0/617336568072990507/ I've read that page long ago and just now, I didn't find any words related to resetting my password if I forget about it. learn from steam family view, you have option to send password reset to email which I don't find in Panda browser. 3) Not sure what troubles you had with the password in "Kids mode" but there is always an option to safely reload from the "Alt-Ctrl-Del" menu. Arguably, your frustration with sturdiness of Panda's defense is a YES, not NO :D I did tried task manager or CTRL+ALT+DEL a couple of time to KILL PBS app. but it didn't go down. I got clean blue screen after that. logging off my current account are the easiest way to do, but it would kill app my all other app. little bit longer review : as described, browser specially for kids. YES for user with better internet connection like in first world country. ability to add localhost to browser. but still have to connect to pbs server for auth and gram the "localhost url" (more + if ) adblock plus like feature added to the browser. ( http://steamcommunity.com/app/349280/discussions/0/618463738387925530/ ) NO not that good for country with low speed internet connection like mine. since the setting saved in pandaschool.org server. if there's anything happened with the server or the internet connection. goodbye pbs. but the problem would be solved if there's an ability like normal browser does. create a classroom from localhost url or from html file. up until now, there's no password reset option. final verdict : [strike]well, since there's no neutral button, yes-dah.[/strike] change my review into negative : once you're in kids mode and forgot your password, you'll find how annoying pbs at that moment. glossary : bookmark in normal browser = classroom in pbs.

I’ll start off nicely: the idea is great and the UI is very cute and easy to use. Anyway, once fired up, it asked if I wanted parent or kid mode. I selected parent. Everything went pretty well until I clicked a Panda button to see what it did. It turns out that switched it to kids’ mode, which was neat. I looked around, thought “this is cute” and clicked the panda again. I was prompted for a PIN. What PIN? I never set up a PIN. This thing hasn’t been on for 20 seconds even. Cancel. Click out. Nothing. Try again. Nothing. All of my keys are pretty much disabled, so I ctrl-alt-del’d and went to kill the process. Guess what? This is effectively a virus that starts up again, disabling access to any other apps on the computer and keyboard shortcuts. I had to force a hard reboot. Basically, it’s a giant broken beta release of something I suspect the developers probably never intended to finish. I bought this in May and as of November they haven’t done anything to it seven months. Take a look at the people commenting that it does almost nothing, breaks a lot, and needs several critical features. I suppose that I’m the sucker for installing in November a beta release I bought in May that hasn’t been updated since. That probably should’ve been the tip. The dev had a $.99 sale and then dropped it like a rock.

Theres not enough content that comes with the software itself. You can input websites manually which is a plus, but I would have liked if it came with more sites. On the upside the developer is a cool guy and the software is being updated with features. So I'm looking forward to see what changes get added on.

I got PSB for my child who attends school online but sometimes gets distracted and wanders the net or opens Minecraft. So far I am highly impressed. It is very simple to use and locks your child out of Windows and any website or video you have not specifically approved, which you can choose from a moderated collection, submit for approval, or add privately for your own use. I made a simple mistake while trying to use one of it's features, left a message on the discussion board and the next morning they had fixed my problem. The interface is cute and sleek, and I discovered a treasure trove of great sites for kids through the browser. I definitely recommend this for anyone with children.

I bought this software for my twins (naja I ended up buying 2 copies, cos twins..) I liked the idea of locking the browser so they can't get back to the desktop. Everything is easy for them. Just back and home buttons took a little coaching :) As I started the software I started surfing around with one of my sons, he was clicking away himself inside of 5 minutes and I had trouble getting him off of it.. As I was finished I Clicked on the return to parent mode button (kids mode is locked onl y to browser, parent mode you can view the desktop as well) and had a crash. I tried it a couple of times and the same thing.. Naja, only cost me 3.50 in a sale, I'll write the dev, you never know.. Inside of 60 minutes I was in a real time mail exchange with the developer, a very friendly person who helped me no end (in the end we found that it was because a standard font was missing in my version of windows 7.) Defiantely impressed with the developer. The software is really good, I have already setup pages for both kids and they are already happily learning and playing. No external liks are clickable, the web sites are fun for kids and you can customise the experience for them. It was defiantely worth the 7 euros I paid for 2 copies and it is worth the 7 Euros one copy normally costs.
