This story is wonderful and the art is beautiful, I just wish it could have been a bit longer, but it's still a nice short story~

This game was so cute, and so sweet. I really enjoyed the art style, the characters, and the music used in the game. The story perfectly showed the relationship between a young boy and his mother, and how out of tune they can get during the child's teen years. Especially when the boy is more resereved than most children his age. I'll be honest, the delivery of the ending scene made me cry! This was a very enjoyable visual novel.

I loved this visual novel. It may be somewhat short compared to other visual novels. But it was long enough for me to love the story. It's very funny, can be sad at some moments, but I recommend you play this game. 12/10 WILL play again.

Broke my heart, but in one of the best of ways. The free version is spectacular along, and now that I know there's DLC, I can't wait to get it. Takes about 31 minutes with no DLC and is definitely worth the time.

This is an decent visual novel for its price (free), but there are plenty of much better stories out there. Our protagonist is a moody and largely unlikeable child who is brought around to a blue-haired Manic Pixie Dream Girl who is quite probably the spirit of the sea. Their friendship is more sacharine than moving, and there is very little conflict to take interest in. The music isn't particularly memorable, and the comedy tends to fall flat. A few moments are worth a chuckle, but on the whole, it feels cheesy and uninspired. Unless you really like escapist stories, you probably won't enjoy Voices from the Sea much.

I feel as if this VN is kind of pointless. The art style and story all seem to be kind of generic, for lack of a better description. Boy feels quite depressed. Boy meets odd girl. Boy connects with odd girl. I don't really feel that there is much more to it than that. And the description of how the boy acts, he is just to ansgty to be likeable as a character - doesn't make for a good story in my opinion.

I have become much more introverted since I have gotten older. One of my grandsons is autistic and noise hurts him too, so I related to the main character a lot. Plot and animation I found strange yet charming and innovative. Kept me engaged enough to read it in one sitting. The part where the boys lists the things his mother does for him gave me a lump in my throat. Well, I am a grandmother, what can I say? ;)

Beautiful short visual novel about a boy who has trouble socializing at school but then makes an unexpected friend while doing his favorite hobby: picking up shells from the seashore. I won't say anything else to spoil. Very deep message hidden in it. Art reminds me of Ponyo from Miyazaki too.

At this point I've only played the free version and I'm unsure if it's worth to purchase the DLC. I'm not interested to hear the voice acting and haven't found info on how much more content there is to play in the DLC, so my opinion is only for the free version of this visual novel.
Pros
+ Easy to go back to previous text if you accidentally forwarded too soon + Nice artwork + You get to see the protagonist + Short and simple story
Cons
- You have to use arrow keys to move text - No auto mode for text Final Verdict: ☆☆★★★★★★★★ 8/10 - Good Antisocial teenager, Cantus, just wants people to leave him alone and look at seashells on his free time. On the beach he encounters a remarkably cheerful girl, Maris, and despite his cold attitude toward her the girl decides that in the next seven days she is going to make him smile. The game then takes you through those seven days and even though you guess the end by the third day it doesn't take anything away from the moment when it comes. The free VN is a short one as my playtime of it suggests, and this is understandably a turnoff for some people; I can enjoy shorter stories with ease so I found this to be enjoyable. The story is sweet and despite both of the characters being in danger of being highly annoying on their own, they manage to balance each other out.
