This game, first off, is very impressive to look at. It is visually quite stunning, from the high in the sky, to individual unit zooming. You can tell a lot of work was put into making the models and defining the physics principals. The game is good. It is fun against AI, and challenging enough to make me mad. This game is not the classic Rock, Paper, Scissors style of RTS. The game offers a wide variety of options for many different NATO, ex-Soveit Bloc, Asian, European Union, and many other real world alliances and super powers. The game is not terribly broken either, because it seems that they wanted to make the game as realistic as possible. With a very in-depth almost requireing micro managing level of supply and combat features the game's over all very entertaining and quite impressive. I say well done to the developers,, and other than some very minor engine problems (phasing through objects here and there) which honestly dont really affect gameplay, i would rate the game 5 star, 10/10. Now if only Redfor naval units werent so broken.... :)

I recommend this game because of how smooth it runs on my computer and that you can zoom fully into the battle. Basically go from ground view into the frontline view and see the batte unravel, naval, air and, ground battles work completely well together on water and land maps.

A must have the scandinavians have a very interesting and unique military, especially Sweden. One could argue that these pre existing factions that got copied over rom ALB should have gotten the 90s upgrade at launch.

This game has been in my library for ages, I tried to play it once but couldn't be bothered with Youtube videos lasting 1 hour and reading all the tutorials. Anyway, today I decided to give it a go but I just loaded up a 2v2 skirmish match, I put a "very hard" level player on my side with 2 US pre-made decks against 2 Russians bots and let it roll. I wish I did this before as it made it much more fun and easy to learn than long videos or lots of reading. There is no pressure because your ai bot will handle the other team. The first match, I just watched my ai bot rip apart the other 2 players and was impressed with the graphics and the way it played out and it made me keen to learn. I didn't even know how to deploy my units but my ai handled the other team whilst I just zoomed in on stuff and was in awe of how good it looked. Next game I'd looked in the controls and found the button how to deploy my units and then over the next few games I was free to experiment with different units and the controls. I've slowly picked most the basics up and have notched up it to 2 medium bots as i've improved. Still alot to learn but it's been nothing but fun so far I see myself playing this a lot. I don't mind watching some videos or reading on deeper tactics now as I have a point of reference and desire to learn to the game even more because it is a masterpiece. I think I got it in a humble bundle so it's great value for the level of detail and sheer amount of different units is amazing! I would say for me it would be worth full price as I will get at least 30 hours out it and I rate acceptable value at £1 per hour played for a game.

War Game Red Dragon takes everything I loved about the RTS genre and adds a new spin to it. It's well priced, and comes with FREE DLC which shows that Eugen really does care about the experience that their players have, instead of how quick they can make a dollar off of their fans.
