It's been over a decade since clearing 0.0 fields and long hauling to make a bundle, and I'm glad I found this one to bring it all back to me. This game takes a great idea makes it single player and condenses it down into just the fun parts. Build, upgrade, battle, upgrade, mine, salvage, do it all or do what you want. Can't and won't put it down.

Game is super cool but it's pretty much unplayable on the Rog ally. Shows steam keyboard that hides menu and then main game doesn't respond to controller.

One of the best most captivating game I've played in a long time.
This title has such a reasonable price and provided me so far with 30 hours of gameplay and I've only just now reached the second half of the game.
It's well worth anyone's time.

This game has the perfect mix of play loops for me. My gaming niche is space games, and even in this early state the game has held my attention for almost 100 hrs already! I recommend people who like trading, mining, salvaging and fighting to give it a try. A wonderful surprise here! :)

Very laid-back and relaxing game while in Auto-AI mode. If you're an EV Nova fan, you'll love this game.

I played the game for over 300 hours then they did an update and made the game totally garbage they're making the crafting system overall in the game suck and a lot of skills useless 50% of the hours on this game I actually played actively myself I don't really like using the AI cuz it kind of sucks and other reason why I'm dropping this game also drones are now kind of useless this is impossible to find officers that will allow you to deploy drones faster anymore so you'll die before you kill all the targets cuz it takes too long for your drones to come out the game is evolving in a direction I don't like so I'm done I might check it out again in the future but it's pretty much not for me anymore

If you're at all in to space sims, and you want good second monitor content, this game (even as an EA title) is perfect for you!
To go in to a bit more detail:
I've been playing on the beta branch and chiming in with feedback and bug reports on the discord, and the developers behind this game are incredibly active and quick with pushing updates to the beta branch, both for addressing bug reports, balancing existing mechanics and introducing new mechanics. They're also very transparent on what changes they're prioritizing, and what their plans are for future changes. Definite A+ on community interaction and dedication to their project.
Mechanically, this game supports both idle and active play, and it currently already has a slew of content available for both high-attention and low-effort playstyles (combat and salvaging/mining respectively). Trading is a bit less fleshed out in its' current state, and right now endgame heavily favours combat content with regards to providing rewarding loot, but the devs have already stated their plans to add endgame content for other playstyles.
Progression in this game is (to me) very satisfying, in that you can grind various activities in order to obtain currency, equipment, materials and faction reputation that lead to skillpoints used for character specialization and new ships. Visually, the ships are distinct across factions and their role, and they grow in size as you progress the ranks, which is a great vibe as well.
In general I love the small visual touches. Ship hulls get destroyed when shields and armor are depleted and as they take hull damage. Asteroids and wrecked ship visually break apart progressively as they get mined and salvaged. Particle effects for turrets are satisfying. Generally the visual flair is beyond what I'd have expected for a game of this type, and it contributes to the general vibe.
On the stable branch, the game already boasts the following gameplay and content:
- an introductory sector of starsystems that teaches you the game's basics (skippable)
- an intermediate sector of starsystems that breadcrumbs skill trees and gameplay types/loops while you level
- a mid to endgame sector that scales with your level and involves warring factions that you can help or sabotage, with associated ships and equipment rewards
- ship modules and turrets have ARPG style rarity and modifiers, adding build variety and a satisfying endgame loot grind
If you opt in to the beta branch (be wary save files can't transfer back to the stable branch until it reaches parity with beta and it's naturally a less stable experience) new experimental content includes:
- ship and station boarding, allowing you to scavenge resources, blueprints and modules from derelict or enemy stations and to capture enemy ships which you can then recomission, sell or scrap for parts
- a rework of the crafting system aimed at providing endgame relevance for gear crafting
I can't wait to see how this game gets expanded upon, already I've more than gotten my money's worth out of my purchase and the fidelity of it is such that the EA status of it is more due to the fact that they're still actively expanding the game with content updates than it is due to the game not being in a production-ready state.

Would I recommend...
It depends.
- Do you like grinding, item management, progression and either Mining, salvaging, combat or trading. This will give you the 200 hours I got maybe more if you are dedicated.
- At the current state once you reach end game there is not much to do. ( And that is why this is going into the gaming closet to be revisited in 1.0 )
It was fun while it lasted but the game have no future unless there is some kind of multiplayer or some kind of story teller and randomness added into the mix. Otherwise its just repetitive grinding of missions and gathering resources to find a tiny upgrade.

It's all SplatterCatGaming's fault for me playing this. I kept meaning to put it down but it's very chill and kind of a bit old school. Go watch Splats play of it if interested. It doesn't have sound effects at the moment from what I can tell. Has potential for what I would consider to be a sort of Eve offline and chill game.
