(Im trynna review every game in my collection) I dont really know what to say about this one. If you have some spare money i guess you could throw it on this. Its very random and short. Mostly good as a filler game for when you're bored. If you're into this style of games, Sure, Buy it.

Fantastic game! One is able to explore the ocean freely and find distinct species. The further you go, the more surprises you can discover. I would definitely recommend this game to any of my friends.

If I’m being honest with everyone for a sec, I think cat goes fishing is the best cat themed fishing game that was ever made! Its mechanics of holding the mouse (your mouse pad or mouse) to send the lure great distances is an easy to learn mechanic. In the early game it is really relaxing and fun because your lure can’t get to the violent fish near the edge of the map. But I cannot forget the lore surrounding the game in the form of the fish catalog entries, Lets say for example the powerfin its entry says it is always searching for secrets around the map. I wonder what it would do if it had a tool to navigate? Which means (SPOILERS!) If you catch a compass with a mega hook and feed it to the powerfin it would have been given said tool to help it navigate which can catch us a forbearer/secret fish. But unfortunately every rose has its thorns and this legendary game is no different, the game gets really annoying when you want to grind quests like say you did quite a few quests, and then you get a quest that says catch a Shaku (SPOILERS!) you wouldn’t normally know how to catch one so you might turn to something like youtube or the wiki and it turns out that you can only catch it on certain days like for example the first or third Saturday of all non December months or the 9th of August so your going to have to sit there and wait for one of those days I consider calling Shaku days to come and mostly because most of these dates are school months/days and everyone knows you are not allowed to play video games during school (WORST RULE EVER!) unless you have a chill teacher. And lets not forget everyone's favorite mechanic of small and medium fish can be eaten by bigger fish, I have lost count of the amount of times I was doing the yin and yang quest only for said fish to be eaten by a STUPID GRUMPER! And I can remember my first goldfin I caught I was practically having a hernia because of how annoyed I got when it got eaten in one gulp *I accidentally added a mega hook* but a few days later I caught it. Now I am sure that we all have stories on the lightbulb eater, and I of all people have lots. (SPOILERS) One time I was dragging a rare fruit to that weird top hat fish that for SOME REASON decided to live about 10km away from its only food source and I forgot to kill the lightbulb eater with a bomb so it made my light go night night and I ran into a medium fish half way to the top hat fish and I had to restart. But I guess we can mostly relate to how long it takes to catch a magnalav, (SPOILERS) how you catch it is you go to the drop off and afk there with the sonar on, then you need to inch your way to the shore without going to far or it will swim off due to it hating movement then you need to attach 5 bombs and the detonator attachment to scare off any fish that may be interested in making your day worse and make sure to remove the sinker, once you got to where the magnalav is, you need to wait for 5 or so painful minutes because its so slow to get to your bait and if you accidentally tap and slightly move you bait once game over you need to pull up your bait and wait at least 5 more minutes. It took me ten attempts just to finally hook it and it doesn’t make a sound when you hook it so you could be watching youtube and suddenly you hear your line snap, so now you have to go all the way back to the drop and afk just to get it back. Final thoughts and verdict: honestly, even though its a simple game at heart its one of the most complex games I have ever played but its fun 10/10

A casual game about a cat who has gone fishing. In this game you take the role of a cat and make it your goal to catch the most exotic, rare and even thought to be extinct fish. Throughout the game, you unlock better rods, upgrades, and most of all, new boats. These boats have the ability to hold fish, but their main job is to take you out into the sea to further explore the ocean. This game wasn't a hard 100%, it was pretty casual and with the right upgrades realism mode can be made fun, rather than frustrating. This game also has a special place in my heart as i have fond memories of it from when i was younger. I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun and calming experience, with it allowing for so much variety and have a huge bestiary to explore, alongside the calming music and satisfying visuals and sound effects.
