World's most bullyable twink attracts every sadist in a 50 mile radius and sometimes people die in the process. Impressive number of routes through the game. Not only do almost all of your choices actually matter for the ending you get, the game also secretly opens new routes as you get endings. I wouldn't say most of the game is particularly *romantic* but the sheer number of ways you can interact with the girls means you are frequently seeing other sides of them and thus seeing the same events in new lights. The skip/rewind functions work very well and you get a ton of save slots and unlocks so it makes experimenting feel very rewarding. The protag is a guy which is usually a minus for me, but this guy is such a trembling nervous chihuahua that it works. Atcchan being a spineless avoidant weakling instead of a masculine idiot jerk is very intentional and woven into the narrative. He has a history of pulling people close and then being flighty and inconsistent and it makes the yandere behavior feel more earned compared to a lot of depictions. Atcchan has hurt these girls despite never intending to be cruel, and that's the way things go sometimes. Could this have been told as a yuri story? Yes, but I think having the protagonist be male makes the deconstruction of typical romance and yandere tropes more apparent. You can play through multiple routes in this game where absolutely nothing bad happens despite the setting and that's kind of the point. Around 25 hours to see everything, with a lot of extras on offer. One route may be anywhere from a few minutes to several hours depending on your choices and use of text skipping.
