Very good game, just as the news described it. But uhhh i don't think you'll enjoy the military level bc its an annoying bitch to complete as there is only one type of ammo everywhere and guns in those guns do too much damage.

If you’re a fan of the Postal series (1,2) you may really enjoy this game. Hatred sort of takes the premise of Postal 1 and turns everything up to 100. Walls can be destroyed with bullets, grenades, windows can be jumped through, you can drive cars through entire houses.. for what this game is, it is very technically impressive. It reminds me of GTA 4 in the level of gunplay interactivity with the environments. Only 3gb and this game manages to look great and the optimization is good. Plus steam workshop has a ton of mods, even color and first/third person mods. If running around and killing in gta wasn’t gritty or edgy enough for you, this is your game

This game is very fun. And a little difficult in the higher levels. The army base level is the hardest level in my opinion since pretty much everyone on their moms is shooting at you with full auto M16's so your health drains very fast but other than that it is a game I highly recommend well if your insane of course.

No hard feelings but heavy metal and mass shootings are just a golden combo

Someone said this game is a good therapy when you having a hard time in real life and it works. The game kinda feels a bit unfair at the half of the levels, but still enjoyable. This game violence is nothing comparing to some gory games and anime. I'll be waiting for the sequel, might be Hatred 2 or some other Hatred title.

I found out about this game because gameplay for it was in a school shooting short film. This game is unreasonably, unfathomably edgy, to its own benefit, truly a Joker "We live in a society" Gangweed playable experience straight out of 2017.

Love this game. Whoever said there's no gameplay involved didn't play on harder difficulties than the first 2 easiest. Your mission is simple: to kill as many people as possible. Even though it can seem like mindless violence, there's clear gameplay mechanics and features involved. It's not very complex but it's so much more than many try to make it look. First third of the game is mostly killing defenseless targets, but it builds up to more and more challenging encounters with law enforcement and the army. Ducking and dodgerolling, positioning, smart use of grenades/ammo/weapon choices, abusing chokepoints, and tactical (temporarily)spared civilians for later health replenishments become crucial considerations you have to engage with in order to beat the game, especially if you're trying to do all side quests. I could absolutely see this game NEVER have any controversy if all people in it were replaced/reskinned with aliens or have plot from "They Live 1988" movie and be considered a decent, above average isometric oblique top-down viewpoint game. It's only cool to /hate/ on it because it's themed around you being the bad game. That's it. Whoopty doo. Great little game, wish there was more of it.

Hatred is clearly inspired by Postal! But the difference between Hatred and Postal is simple Unlike Postal, which has its dark humor jokes Hatred, on the other hand, is something serious, a "Fuck it" mode and very heavy, like Manhunt too! The "story".... It's "ok", because it only tells the antagonist's motivation to want to kill everyone around him... And nothing else... and it even has an ending... 👎 The gameplay is good, it responds very well, the controls too! The executions on people... Just brutally violent I hope I can play it again with my new PC and enjoy it a lot here on Steam! I highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Manhunt and Postal The 8 or 9 years of waiting was totally worth it!
