THE BEST COZY GAME!!!!
i love creature collectors so this could be a little bit bias but the gameplay is simply microtasks that reward you with little crayon drawn esc bugs. Now with these bugs you can battle NPC teams of bugs with cards that require energy to use.
Also there are shiny variants of the bugs which is what i spent most my time doing. the game is however short which was expected due to the price ofc. The game took roughly 3-4 hours to beat
Please PLEASE install this game
p.s to that one negative review that states "the dev plasters his face all over the game", He shows up once for an achievement and fits in perfectly. And the other time he appears at the end to thank you for playing.

Very fun little game. It took me just under 2 hours to beat it. This includes catching every bug, but not 100%. I could probably do that in another hour if I felt like it.
It's incredibly easy with a bit of strategy necessary by the end. Once you understand how the buff and debuff system works and make a team of rare bugs you're pretty much guaranteed to win.
Game takes place over the month of august, and time only moves when you battle. You can farm bugs to the high heavens every day so you don't have to worry about the month time limit. It was not a struggle purchasing everything and maxing out bug levels.
The music is good and upbeat. The theme is adorable, catching the bugs themselves is easy for me at least, but they give you ways to make it easier.
Overall I would say this is worth 5 dollars. There's a lot of love and charm put into this and they definitely earned the money, even at full price.

I rarely write reviews, but I don't think any game that I've played in recent times has ever felt more personally relatable to me than this game has, and I felt compelled to write one for this lovely little leisure.
While this game may be short (understandably so especially for the very reasonable price point), I truly enjoyed those few hours I spent after I discovered this at 6 AM in the morning. It kind of feels like a spiritual successor to Pokemon in a way. You go out to collect animals, watch them, team build, and "battle" with a unique card system that is fairly balanced.
Satoshi Tajiri (the creator of Pokemon) always wanted Pokemon to capture that itch of going outside and catching critters into a video game, and I think this game accomplishes that perfectly. It really is a wonderful game with an adorable art style, interesting gameplay mechanics/team building, and just a serene aesthetic that I find so cozy.
Admittedly, while I do understand the criticisms that this game could get boring (the gameplay itself is very simple), I think for a two hour game to 100%, this game has enough content packed within it to prevent itself from going stale. Just the act of being able to fight more bugs with unique team compositions and
collecting "shinies" and putting them in your terrarium
, makes this game very relaxing. It's a very stress-free game.
I also appreciate having the scientific names added to bugs, as it really did hearken back to my own childhood of going outside, inspecting animals in the hopes of finding something new, and then later looking up their information afterwards as if I were a biologist in the field. It felt like something ripped straight out of my childhood.
It really is an adorable game, which I think we need more of in the creature collecting genre. Less "kids fighting gods and otherworldly threats" and more "kids goes out and has fun with animals". I would be very interested to see an expansion for this at some point (maybe amphibians and other small animals), as I always loved games about real life nature.
10/10. Worth the Price

Absolutely adore this cute little game!
The gameplay is simple and easy to get into but excellently done, the characters are all immensely charming, the visuals are beautiful and calming, and there's plenty of bug variety and synergies for a really fun time.
Hoping to potentially see some spiders some day! Maybe a like, a sunset or night setting would be super chill....
Edit: Update is peak I can now win with two silly lil Hoverflies in my team thank you so much.. .

So many cute critters! Ohmygodness!
Best summer of my life!
Kabuto Park is so charming and such a cozy game.
First you're going to search for cool bugs and then you take part in epic battles with your fighting team.
I love the catch mechanic and love to see the accessibility option for it to change the catch difficulty.
The combat is really entertaining and addicting. It's my favorite part of the game!
The art is amazing and so is the music too!
Highly recommended!

I've bought the game and 100%'d it in 3 hours, it has way more potential, you could add more characters, adding multiplayer where you could fight other players and in the story mode you go home after vacation, you jump in time to the next summer vacation and meet new people, find new bugs and so on.
Over all i enjoyed the game very much even if it was pretty short, very cozy game, i enjoyed the art style a lot, hope the best from this game.
