It's a good dlc, it makes you feel like an actual esteemed citizen of kuttenberg. I had good fun with it all and it connects you to henry's father Martin's past. I think those people complaining are just whining because they played the dlc after they've done all of the content in the main game. Anyone who actually enjoys all the things the game has to offer is going to thoroughly enjoy this!

Good, solid DLC. The storyline bit is well done and the repetitive fetch quests get dull quickly. But you do get to build a neat little useful home. Worth the money.

Why can't you just provide a completed set armor which made by Henry? It's so stupid u have to subscribe an extra mod to make the whole set armor sensible.Besides, new helmet is just recoloring and do not fix the bug no neck protect. after one year selling. I bought the whole game and whole dlc since KCDi.And this is how you warhorse studio made the dlc?Shame on you!!!

It is similar to the town dlc from first game. Just in this case you build your own forge. I think it is a great addition to the game. Definetly would recommend getting it. You are a Blacksmith's son after all.

A really decent DLC overall. I really enjoyed forging in the main game, so having my own forge I can customize is a huge improvement. Besides, at last Henry has a place he can call home, since after all the upgrades this place essentially becomes your base where you can forge, craft and rest. The quests of the DLC can get repetitive tho, especially if you want to farm the max prestige to get the upgrades. Tho you absolutely don't have to and just completing the main story and trying the daily quests a few times will give you the minimum amount of prestige to turn your forge into a decent house. Great addition to the main game, especially if you liked the forging mechanics.

It's nice that you get your own forge as well as weapons and armor you forge yourself or at least with the help of your assistants but my main complain is the quest. A lot of the quest are repeat quest unlike the games usual well written side quest though there are some but they're few and far between. The thing I hated the most about it is the DLC exclusive armor, it's all RNG based. I don't know how many times I tried repeating the quest just to get the stupid helmet to complete the damned armor and eventually I just gave up, there's no way I'm wasting more time on just the helmet, it's not even the best armor set to begin with. Other than that it's a decent DLC but not worth the full price, just either wait for a sale or get the Royal Edition.

Super fun! It really enjoyed it. It was tedious, but the rewarding kind of tedious where your repetitive efforts actually yield tangible results that you can see and benefit from. There are several long and engaged questlines (that provide unique gear), repeatable quests/tasks, and the best part IMO is getting to construct your own home. It's misleading because it's not just a forge you're building, you can also upgrade the building outside, your bedroom, and the property grounds. You can add things like an alchemist bench, garden, laundry, smokehouse, drying station, weapon sharpener, and lots of bedroom features like a prayer station, etc. and lots of these have attached upgrades that provide a variety of buffs like damage bonuses and XP gain. Completing a few quests also lets you hire two people who both function as blacksmith merchants—one is a normal blacksmith, the other is a gun blacksmith. They sell lots of unique ingredients too. There's also a sales chest on the property that you can put weapons/armour into and they get sold automatically. (Great for loot goblins who find it hard selling expensive things to merchants who don't carry enough grochen.) The narrative culmination of the DLC was also quite moving. "Legacy of the forge" refers to Martin's legacy that Henry then carries forward. It adds some nice emotional colour to their father/son relationship. All in all a great DLC that I had a lot of fun with. If nothing else, it provides a strong "home base" for Henry thoughout the game because you have everything you need in one place. (The repeatable tasks for this DLC also provide a truckload of groschen. I'm talking 2k+ for many of these. It's pretty nuts.)

It's alright. A worse version of KCD1's "From the Ashes" DLC, because here you get to renovate only 1 building, rather than a town, but with more detail.
This one is going to be a chore if left post main story though, because a lot of the progression is tied into daily quests. (in-game days) Yes. This DLC adds ducking dailies into the game.
The story is decent. The player house you get is cool, and you get more and more unique buffs and stuff as you progress and upgrade it.

I actually really enjoyed this DLC, despite my initial worries that building the forge would get repetitive.
I found myself treating the forge like it was my own business/job, but not in a bad "work-like" way. The story that is attached is actually interesting and adds on to Henry's story of wanting to honor the man who raised him. You get the opportunity to rebuild a forge/ estate in a similar manner to the Pribyslavitz DLC from the first game. Of the three, this is my favorite DLC for the game.
