The original Outlaws is one of the most memorable games. On its own, I recommend it. Reasons I don't recommend the Remaster: - I get nauseous after just a few minutes of gameplay, and it gets worse the longer I play. It's the only game in my entire life where I experienced this. For reference, I use a 34'' ultrawide monitor. - Nightdive Studios has a logo with an octopus and a skull. I'm just tired of all the dark, demonic imagery inserted everywhere these days.

pros: -remastered graphics -widescreen and better resolutions support -overall better then the original cons: -overpriced -no new content unlike doom and heretic+hexen remasters -the original was removed from steam -whoever was behind that screen during the main trailer sucks at fps In resume: Just wait for a discount

Well worth the money, plays extremely smooth, great visual and audio quality, and comes with a lot of extras and behind the scenes content.

"I never felt tension like this before, that's so much different than just changing a clip. This reload time is exhilarating !" - Ocelot, MGS3 If you love western movies and especially the gunfights, this 1997 shooter gives you exactly the feeling of being in the middle of one through it's (at the time) unique mechanic : Making you reload each bullet individually. Creating tense and fast paced gunplay even though the game can be a little jank at times. And the soundtrack is amazing.

That remaster truly makes the whole thing even better than the OG ! Outlaws + Handful of missions: remaster is such a fantastic game to play: the music is engaging and fun to listen, the graphics are slick and the cutscenes are top-notch. Plus, it's a great homage to classic Westerns films !

Sorry Nightdive, you are normally amazing but this is poor. Feels like the polish and the extra bits you couldn't be bothered with. Not even touched the cut scenes. Hit boxes all over the place AI shooting all over the place just a really bad game. Very Disappointed, refunded.

Kind of feels as if Redneck Rampage was more competent. Main campaign is pretty short but decently fun. I like the animated cutscenes between levels a lot. Trying to figure out the Sawmill level design took seven years off my lifespan for sure though. The bonus missions feel all over the place in terms of quality. Its just kind of more of the game but worse. I felt myself wanting to just get through them at the end. its alright. Don't pay full price for it.

What's worse than having a mediocre game? A mediocre game that is lazily, "remastered." Outlaws was amazing for its time... if you never played literally any other game. The gimmick for it was to make levels so large and maze like that it made you feel like you were on an adventure. However, this runs thin in record time and actually becomes an annoyance. Levels are not fun to play, and it becomes a chore by the time you hit the second level. While it shines in sound design and even cutscenes (which were not upgraded and in original format so you have anymore pixels I can borrow?) however the gameplay is tediously mediocre if not outright bad due to the level design. The remaster itself? It's typical Nightdive SLOP. Nightdive for a few years has become typical AAA slop trash where their "remasters" is smearing lube on textures, not improving graphics, making controls worse (but hey weapon wheel!) having the original game removed and delisted and then up charging you for $30-$40 for decades old games. I would say buy the original 1997 because it was $10 and the HD packs by modders are FAR better, but oh look at that it's gone, Nightdive removed it and now you have to pay $30 for their slop "remaster." It's not a good game, and it's an awful "remaster" Pick it up on 85-95% off sale if you're feeling nostalgic.
