yo man this game is mad tight dawg. at first i was like, this game cant be that cool, but then i was like damn this game is cool. if you got a spare 2.49 laying around, pop that in your disc drive and buy this game. 2 thumbs up and wet kiss from this guy.

Monsters! is a bullet-hell game where you play as a wizard and shoot magical orbs at aliens.
Pros:
-Pixel Art is decent
-Gameplay is fun
-Beating Highscores is addictive
Cons:
-No original game soundtrack, or soundtrack at all
-The game feels empty because it has no music
-No level selection
-Keybinding for keyboard had no effect
-Difficulty is too hard(I can't seem to get past level 1-5)
-Small community
As the game currently is, I can't recommend picking it up. It desperately needs a music soundtrack of some kind, and the game feels empty because of it. I want to like this game, I really do. But with only one level, Monsters! quickly becomes repetitive, and the game isn't engaging or varied enough to satisfy my hunger for bullet hell mania.

MONSTERS is fun. What you see in the trailer is what you get. If you enjoy a true 80's arcade feel in a pick-up and play arena shooter wrapping, then stop reading this review and spend ONE DOLLAR for this very fun score-chaser/twin-stick hidden gem. Look at it like this; if you play four times, that's one quarter per game of Monsters. Everything after that is PURE DIGITAL GRAVY. Very much worth playing. Enjoy!

Monsters is a wonderfully addictive twin stick shooter. While my hours may seem low, it was a good time sink for when I had no internet (yay outages). Highly recommend this game, please play it when you get a chance. It's deceptively simple, with a tight difficulty curve.

NO - art is mediocre but you can play it on your electric toothbrush
NEUTRAL - not that deep but for a budget game from 2016 I would say this is ok
