The Necro can be super OP on it's own but if you cheese and fool around with different builds you'll be clearing the room 1st every time.
Don't sleep on this dope ass DLC, its only CDN$ 1.49 for a little while longer so get it while its cheap af. 9/10 char 10/10 price ;)
PS. Her name is Lilith... 'nuff said? I think so.

Lilith is a good addition to "Gauntlet." The class is thematically appropriately. Her abilities compliment group play fairly well (certain combinations/builds, anyway). Ghostwalk is cool. Voice acting and dialogue are decent. She has a distinctive look and style that is every bit as customizable as the other classes. Figuring out her rotations, strengths and weaknesses kinda fun. In the interest of transparency, however, the single player campaign was sometimes an exercise in futility, even above and beyond the normal "Gauntlet" learning curve/experience for single or multiplayer. Warning: like the other classes, Lilith has a unique control configuration. Be ready to experiment with the buttons all over again while learning how to play her (e.g., her 'use potion' or 'heavy attack' ability may be mapped to a different button or key than previously played characters).
For this type of DLC, the $4.99 price tag is okay. As other reviewers have noted, I rationalized that cost as more a means to support the developers, hoping to entice them to either continue making content for this game or to help drive whatever their next project may be.
6/10 on her own, 8/10 as an additional class for group play. In couch co-op, there's something heady about seeing your team mates argue over who is more deserving of Lilith's ressurection ability. Glorious. Mwahahahahahaha!

Had a lot of fun with this character, didn't mind the cost for it. Adds a fifth character to play in game, and isn't an OP overpowered one either.

I like the new character. It's easy to play, but takes time to perfect. Solo the colusseum if you want to learn how to use the character. As for her abilities, they complement each other well. The weak side swipe ability moves monsters back to the ideal range to hammer them into the ground. The hammer is extremely powerful when you line it up right, but it takes time to get good with it. The skellies are decent tanks, but they aren't programmed to try and avoid anything. They get 1 shot from a lot of mechanics. I think this character is worth the $5 they're charging.

Meh... If I had the option again I would not buy this DLC. The Necro is a range character, but she'd kind of medium range. It's not like the Elf or Wizard where you fire a spell or arrow and it goes half way across the screen. It's very tricky to accurately aim the Necro's ability which is basically summoning a poltergeist / skeleton to strike for you. Cool visuals, but not worth the price, in my opinion.

Easier than other character. yes, her primary attack is inconvenient both in terms of monsters and destroying food, BUT her secondary is a grenade launcher, which stuns AND hurts monsters, so, who cares about her primary attack. I only use it sometimes to stun enemies who gets too close, then take a step back and use secondary. The wizard usually has to choose between AoE damage or stun, and when he uses it, there is a cooldown, but the necromancer gets both the damage and the stun with practically no cooldown. And if she needs a bit of a breezing room, she can summon a number of happy skeletons to distract the enemy.

If you are the kind of person that needs everything added before your game feels complete, this expansion can add some necromantic diversity to an otherwise stale pool of heroes. If you ask me this is a bit steep of a price however for what is basically an extra wheel to an already functioning car.
If you get this at a discount it might be worth the asking price, personally I found it interesting in theory, mediocre in practice..

Is it interesting? yes. Is it worth the price of a sandwich? probably not. I bought it to support the devs, but otherwise I wouldnt recommend it.

Love it. As others have mentioned, there is learning curve because her attacks will skip over enemies right in front of you, but this is mitigated somewhat by the fact that she can teleport, which helps getting to a proper spot. So, what you end up doing is getting in a few quick jabs in order to summon skeletons, and depend more on your skeletons to fight for you. A plus is that the more enemies are on screen, the more opportunities there are to summon skeletons, making for some epic battles. I find this style of play quite fun, and a nice departure from what I think of being "Gauntlet". Certaintly not some pay-to-win OP character, but I like that. If the play-style sounds fun, go for it.

Lilith brings a handful of abilities to the fray, each one building her little power up bar allowing her abilities to do more damage and raise minions to fight for her.
- A side-swipe attack for weaker foes and small mobs. Note that the attack is like a pole arm so enemies directly in front of you won’t be affected, but five or more can be swiped from a distance.
- A strong attack, summoning a lumberjack troll just long enough to pound the ground. Great against summoning stones but tricky against monsters that move a lot especially in higher difficulties.
- Ghost Walking – my personal favorite. An escape when you get surrounded and also a way to build your soul bar. Not high in damage but useful nonetheless.
- Summon a skeleton. Brings minion from the underworld to your aide for a short time. They are just as fragile as enemy skeletons but you can summon five at a time and the only limit to how many you can have is as high as your graphics card will allow. Warning: Lag will happen.
