Spitfire - Moonpie's Mission is essentially a boss rush game where the primary mechanic is to shoot your target and block its attacks. It was created by a single developer. Every boss you encounter has a unique twist to figure out. Some bosses unlock unique companions that can tag along as you progress through the game, providing unique advantages or disadvantages that can make it easier or harder. Some moments in the game are a bit like a fever dream (the good kind), and you'll certainly encounter one or two things you won't have seen coming. The game itself is quite short, it likely won't take you more than 60-90 minutes for the first playthrough. It's not particularly difficult, but it has its challenging moments, especially in the first playthrough, and some of the challenges are quite tough. It's also impossible to complete all challenges in a single playthrough. Completing challenges brings rewards like replayable minigames and hidden weapons. All in all, it's a lovely game for a low price. Perfect if you want to kill some time, or to play on the side. Also has a killer soundtrack.

A great game with many creative and fun ideas and mini-games, and it also has a good difficulty level.

A lovely little game made with a lot of love. The graphics are great and the music is absolutely fantastic. If I had three wishes: Steam achievements Controller controls for the Steam Deck Better access to the mini games. But I'm happy as it is. I'll definitely play it a few more times.

Very cool, high quality, polished game with a great soundtrack and nice humor. The gameplay itself is quite simple. Some parts can be challenging but not annoyingly hard. It takes about one to two hours to complete the game. However, given the price that's enough content. Replayability is quite limited. Some songs however are worthwhile to listen again.

A strange short game. The musical numbers, Altho AI and without an (apparent) human hand redacting the lyrics, I still enjoyed the music, especially the spider one.

Spifire - Moonpie's Mission is a great piece of pixel art indie development. Basically, we are playing as an alpaca, who uses its spit to fight an alien lifeform that infected earth. It combines sidescrolling action with some rogue lite elements (though you don’t need to start all over again – we can use the last savespot instead). Our alpaca has a gun that is also a shield – which is deactivated during firing. The alpaca itself is moving on rails, so the whole action is about blocking incoming damage and fighting back at the same time. Any hit scores gold, which can be used to upgrade the lama weapon. I’m usually not so much into this kind of game, but it is fun playing and I appreciate the game even more, since I heard a lot about its development and the history behind the game.

Once you get a hang of the not-so-usual gameplay, this game is addictive and fun. It has: - humor, bet for it! - a charming and nice art style - and this music... no spoilers... :) And it is overall done with lots of <3 and wits, thumbs up! If you want to enjoy a cozy and funny game, not taking itself serious but worth a challenge, this is definitely a pick for you. Highly recommended!

On the earth on the silent night, I review this game, which is pure like light. It's an awesome roguelite game with challenging boss fights. I really like the PixelArt and love the music. Upgrade, try again, upgrade, try again,… Your alpaca will love it and in the end thank you with a completed game. Me and an alpaca dancing on the moon so high! \o/

TL;DR: The cutest bullet hell souls rogue-like ever. It is hard. It is cute. It has a great soundtrack. It has an Alpaca. Cute-agression deluxe. Frustrating, but juuuuust not enough to make you quit. This games extreme difficulty hides beneath its cuteness. 🦙 / 10
