The short of it... +The STGW 57 is an insanely fun rifle, probably my favorite gun in Crime Boss right now. It's a full-auto battle rifle that plays exactly how a Cold War-era NATO gun should - kicking hard, hitting enemies harder, and having a slow but controllable rate of fire. It's a delight to blast apart robots and down enemies in a couple of hits with the STGW! +The Tactical Tomahawk is an all-around great melee weapon. It spawns early into Roguelite, outclasses quite a few other melee options, and works well in campaign and co-op. +The Micro SMG Gal is a risky but solid secondary weapon choice. It has an insane fire rate, decent damage, and a suppressor, but it speeds through its magazine very quickly and can waste ammo. The burst-fire mode is necessary when you're trying to avoid running dry. It's still satisfying to magdump heavier enemies with it on full-auto, though. +Close Combat is a great perk to use with melee builds. Restoring health on melee kills helps you stay alive on higher difficulties, especially when used with other defensive or melee-based perks. ~SAS Instincts is a decent but forgettable perk. Vigor, Health, Toolkit, and Mule are better alternatives. ~The Commando Cracker team member is a powerful addition to Roguelite crews, but he doesn't come cheap to keep things balanced. Recruiting him and having his weapons appear in the Black Market requires a high reputation in that run. -The Commando Cracker skin is pretty boring overall. It's just the same design as regular Cracker, only with sunglasses and a scarf. Monarch Baker had a cool white suit and hat, and Roidiac Jupiter had a radically different character design. This one just felt uninspired. -The RPG backfires more than it helps. Its projectile is inaccurate, and its large blast radius often hurts you along with the enemies you're aiming for. Since it explodes on impact, it isn't very good against enemies hidden behind cover. It also has a long recharge time unless you're using the Toolkit perk. I would recommend the Cracker Character Pack for the weapons alone. They're a ton of fun to use, and the STGW will probably end up in your go-to gun options for campaign and co-op. The character skin isn't very good, and the RPG is a step down from the grenade options, but the rest of the pack does its job well. You could probably make a decent build around SAS Instincts' spotting perks or Close Combat's health recovery, too.

New weapons that fill previously unrepresented archetypes, new perks that encourage different gameplay approaches, the first non-arcing explosive projectile and Cracker with a cool scarf. They bring something new to the table, but without being overpowered or causing power creep. This is how a DLC like this should be.

I don't like Cracker, so, he wasn't my concern when buying this DLC. The real reason i got this DLC was to get the SAS Instincts perk. It's useful for both loud and stealth, it even makes finding the rappel gear in Dragon Dogs much easier. In Stealth you'll still need common sense and basic levels of patience, but it will make your life a bit easier. Other than that, the weapons are also pretty cool, and i have yet to try Close Combat perk, which will probably work well in with one of my loud builds that focuses on slashing everyone to pieces with the Katana (though, i suppose, Roidiac Jupiter with brass knuckles would be a good choice too). All in all, it's a good DLC, and it's priced pretty fairly.

I bought this DLC on discount, and it's worth it -Sas Instincts level 3 is a very broken perk cuz you can use it in Stealth, and combat can see enemies through walls -Close Combat perk is useful when you are on low hp and want to kill enemies at close range -RPG is a massive radius and big damage -The weapons kinda useful I know this DLC is P2W, but it's worth on sale
Blatant P2W
It's really good to see the Stg 57 finally getting some love as it's arguably one of the best military rifles ever made. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScGwJaBWRQ0 It's also arguably the best rifle in this game... so you would expect this game to be deliberately tedious and unpleasant in order to push this (as with the terrible missions in Ace Combat 7 which seem engineered to push you to buy the hacked out "DLC" just to get them over with.) Unlike Ace Combat 7, however, the missions in this game are actually fun... so instead they pressure you to buy microtransactions like this by making it hard to unlock anything of comparable quality in game without grinding dailies... and constantly making you start over in single-player to keep you from enjoying that too much. Personally I think it would have been good to add something of comparable capabilities in a free update to coincide with this DLC like a gold quality FAL and a 2.75 inch bazooka in order to clarify that this really is extra as opposed to P2W. Sad to see a good idea ruined by "dark patterns" and greed.

The character is fine but the real star of this pack is the weapons that come with it. I only play the single player roguelite mode of the game and this is a fine addition to it. The primary you get fits right along side the other end game primaries and performs as well as you could hope, the secondary isn't the absolute best but its a great option late in the game if you want an automatic instead of a semi auto. The melee weapon is a melee weapon so it will always be kind of meh, but it is one of the best options you can pick for the slot. The RPG is great, its a great alternative to the turret late game. The only issue with it is that you can pretty easily blow yourself up if you're not careful with it but thats more fun than bad (protip: Hold Q to continue aiming the RPG, it will fire the instant you let go of Q, if you tap q it will fire as soon as its loaded). It should also be noted that the store page says "One shot RPG" but what it means is that you get one shot before it goes on CD, you have unlimited shots of the RPG but only once per min (without perks that lower the cooldown). At the time of this review I've not found the perks in the single player campaign yet since they come up randomly but they seem good and like a nice bonus on top of everything else. I'm a big fan of these character/weapon packs. They add a good bit of things to play with without a huge price tag. If you like the game and are looking for a larger weapon pool then this one is a great one.

Commando Cracker is Cracker after finishing his character story and slapped a TI-84 onto his wrist to get wallhacks. Commando Cracker, following in the footsteps of the previous DLC character pack, introduces two new perks, four new weapons and a character skin for the Boss character in the game's multiplayer. Commando Cracker himself also has a chance to spawn in the game's single player campaign as a teammate that can be recruited. First up, we have the Stgw 51 as a primary. The gun has two firing modes; Fully automatic and single shot. What makes this gun special is that it has the ability to pierce through shields and multiple enemies with each bullet. It has a magazine capacity of 20 bullets, with a slower than average fire rate. Commando Cracker's version of the gun has a slight wavy camo effect on it, with the version that the player can use being able to have skins applied to it. It's quickly become one of my favorite guns due to its sound design and power. The idea of busting out a museum piece and cleaning house with it is what I find so charming about it. It helps that if you aim it correctly, it can take down Heavies in one magazine, making it a powerhouse of a weapon. The Micro SMG Gal is an okay secondary. Having 25 rounds in the magazine, it can chew through its ammo via its fully automatic mode like nothing else in the game. It has fully automatic and burst fire as its firing modes. It's not very accurate and the recoil can be a bit much to handle, along with having middling accuracy. However, it currently suffers from a bug where it'll chew through the primary weapon's ammo pool as if it were its own. While this isn't game breaking, it will lead to players wondering where all the ammo for their Stgw 51 went to. Commando Cracker's version of the gun has a slight wavy camo pattern on it, while the version the player can use for their Boss does not but can have weapon skins applied to it. Edit: As of March 11, 2025, the Micro SMG Gal no longer drains the primary weapon's ammo pool. The Tactical Tomahawk is a good melee weapon. With good reach and affected area stats, it's clearly meant to be used with Close Combat perk to kill as many enemies in one swing to recover as much health as possible. The RPG. Not much needs to be said about this. It has a 60 second cooldown and explodes upon contacting a surface or enemy. Good fun. The perks are what really make Commando Cracker stand out. SAS Instincts lets you see enemies, explosive items and loot through walls from up to 30 meters away for 15 seconds for merely holding down right click. You don't even need to be holding a weapon out, contrary to the perk's description. This perk is fantastic in missions such as Import Export and The Compound, allowing you the ability to see where the loot is and lets you avoid enemies. It's fantastic in both loud and stealth as a result. SAS Instincts then ties nicely into Close Combat, the second new perk this pack introduces into the game. For every enemy killed in melee, 40 health points are restored. Every additional enemy killed in a single swing adds 30 more health points, up to a maximum of three enemies killed in a single swing. This means that if you can kill three enemies in one swing, you'll earn back 100 health points. This makes Commando Cracker be able to survive in certain situations that would kill other characters. The perk itself also breathes new life into melee builds, allowing for melee to be a much more viable build if used in conjunction with the Adrenaline equipment from Roidiac Jupiter's pack. Commando Cracker is a very fun, very powerful character whose perks allow him to play the game far more differently than any other character. He's meant to be a rush-down/ambush type character who can hold his own in situations where his team needs cover fire, and his perks allow him to easily assess a situation better than anyone else. He's quickly become one of my favorite characters as a result. Very powerful and worth the $4.

Wow, they won't even add few sliders to customize roguelite difficulty. Very low effort developers here. "too costly" apparently.

The Cracker Pack is, without a doubt, the best character DLC in the game right now. Primary Weapon: This is the best assault rifle available. It comes with armor-piercing rounds and has incredible damage. Once you add weapon damage perks, it can down a SWAT officer in just two shots to the torso. Secondary Weapon: A suppressed SMG with a high rate of fire. It's perfect for stealth sections, especially when you're carrying the loot bags and need a quiet but deadly option. Melee Weapon: A "tactical axe" that functions basically like a katana. It's fast and effective. Perks: One of the perks is pretty useless, but the SAS Instincts perk is a game-changer. It highlights not just enemies, but also cameras, civilians, and loot through walls, making it an essential tool for planning any heist. This pack is extremely useful and I can't recommend it enough.

New character pack, and this time it's not even all straight upgrades! Character skin is fine, I like this Cracker design. STGW 51 feels really nice, probably my favorite assault rifle in the game. Rate of fire is low, but every shot feels so punchy. Micro SMG Gal actually kinda sucks, but it's a new SILENCED secondary weapon, and we have very few of those so I'll take it. RPG is really hard not to hit yourself with, though still quite fun. Tomahawk is fine, but it's basically a Katana reskin with a tiny stat tweak. Perks are very interesting: SAS Instincts marks everyone around you for just aiming, which is very useful for stealth. Close Combat regenerates health for melee hits. Actually very strong perks, but at the same time they don't feel as meta defining as Jupiter's Mule that allowed you to carry 3 whole bags, while using your primary. While SAS Instincts makes stealth significantly easier, it really doesn't help you much in loud, you'd probably rather have bullet resistance. Close Combat sounds busted, until you realize it requires you to kill someone with your melee, in a game where most of the time you will be fighting at mid-range, so it's quite situational. Though it does open up melee playstyle and it's really fun, very risk - reward: you either slice through an entire crowd and walk away with full health, or die before reaching the first guy in the group. Overall, lots of pretty good stuff that actually doesn't feel pay to win, and in my region it's only 2 dollars.
