Pro-Wrestler Story is an addictive Wrasslin' simulator that gives players complete control of their Wrestlers, promotion, and even the overall layout of their gym in one convenient package.
At the beginning, players start by building their very own Wrestling promotion from the ground up. New recruits can be signed with enough interactions; building their faith in a player's upstart promotion as they continue to schedule matches.
To generate revenue, players can assign their talent to sell merchandise. As sales increase, players can invest in extra products, merch tables, and assign more Wrestlers to help push products as the promotion continues to expand.
By gauging the fan's involvement during matches (as displayed by an on-screen meter during gameplay), a Wrestler's popularity improves; and in the process, the promotion begins to gather new visitors; who will show up at the venue.
Besides the added attendance rates, some fans will even show up just to drop off gifts to the player's Wrestlers.
In RPG fashion, Wrestlers can level up after competing in matches. Players also have complete control over adjusting each Wrestler's stats with a variety of customizable options such as in-game powerup's, health items, or new Wrestling gear.
PROS:
======
- Retro 16-bit chibi graphics .
- Addictive simulator gameplay that gives players control over their own Wrestling promotion.
- Old school RPG level up system
- At about $6 USD on sale, an attractively-priced Wrestling sim.
- Most gameplay options can be handled with the simple click of a mouse.
- Players can watch their promotion grow or decline in real-time.
CONS:
-------
- Players looking for a traditional, hands-on, arcade-style Wrestling game
should look elsewhere.
- The cutesy chibi graphics may not appeal to everyone.

It's a glorified mobile game with horrible controls. Not worth more than under $5.

A couple things to note about this game:
- It's a direct mobile port. That includes references to using your finger to control the pointer. I know that's a deal breaker for some. Other then running on a PC they've done nothing to change how it plays.
- This isn't really a simulator for pro-wrestling. You're not running a promotion, it's more like a Sumo stable or a MMA gym with a pro-wrestling facade. You challenge other groups to matches with the goal of defeating all their fighters and ranking up in the world. There's no ability (that I've seen) to run your own shows or make a real promotion or anything of the sort.
- It's heavily based on Japanese pro-wrestling. You run a small gym (at the start I suppose) with everyone in their young lion phase. If you've never seen a young lion, being limited to black trunks and simple moves is going to seem very weird. That doesn't really happen outside of Japanese pro-wrestling.
- The gameplay is really simple. All you can really do to influence matches is match people up in matchups you'll win, and have a button that helps your wrestler pin another wrestler or kick out of a pinfall. That's it. The bulk of the game is spent in management mode with you placing down facilities and objects to influence your financials and the improvement of your wrestlers.
Kairosoft doesn't really make *bad* games. But it's important to know what you're getting with this. If you want a pro-wrestling life simulator you're really, really not going to get it here. But if you want a pro-wrestling themed management game then sure, it's worth a purchase.

Gameplay wise, the loop seems fun. It definitely has the feel of running your own pro-wrestling dojo, in a fun and casual pick up and play manner. However, I refunded it after discovering a lack of customisation. Seems like everyone is stuck in Young Lion style plain black trunks and boots, with the exception of female characters who all wear the same purple coloured outfit. There's not even a way to change the color of the gear you wear!
If cosmetic things like that don't bother you, then you can definitely pick it up if you're interested. The game itself seems solid with a lot of progression. However, it's a deal-breaker for me at this time.

A fantastic wrestling stable management game that drew me in almost immediately. Looks like a decent amount of content before new game +.
You can also unlock various items to wear in ring and during your entrance. It is a bit of a letdown that it doesn't seem like you can customise the base gear, but there definitely ARE ring gear items you can equip that make each wrestler unique.
Huge fan, can see myself replaying this quite frequently.
