Quick puzzle game. Much like "The Room" series. Enjoyable. Definitely worth the $1.19!

I don't know, seems like a lazy move to charge money and then end the "game" after a few quick rooms. Anyway, this is a The Room copy, does the same shtick - find the latch to move, take what you can, click on what you can, watch a little animation. There are like 2 somewhat interesting puzzles here that break the monotony for a couple of minutes but definitely not worth the time of anyone looking for a challenge. It's like a puzzle game for 8 year olds.

Playtime: 70 minutes
Too short and lacking some form of a story to connect the puzzles together. Other than that the puzzles are really nice and interesting. Worth it if you enjoy games like The Room.

Decent hour of fun for the price. none of the puzzles will knock your socks off, and one or two were annoying, but overall enjoyable.

I'm always on the lookout for puzzle box-based escape room games, but they're rarely worth bothering with (the room and access denied games are fine, forget da vinci and the entire xs games catalog). this one with its 5 rooms takes an hour or so, looks okay (still worse than the room from 10 years ago), saves on exit, so no progress is lost, and it's entirely mouse-driven. the settings menu is already a bit disappointing, only separate toggles for 'soundeffekt' and music, no volumes, and the occasional music is much louder than anything else. there's a windowed mode toggle and resolution options in a pull-down list (as it should be), the scrollbar is fine but the mouse wheel barely does anything. you can also choose from a number of languages. settings are available anytime, esc brings up the pause menu, the only hotkey I could find. camera controls would benefit from axis flip toggles and a sensitivity slider. the game starts with a tutorial and 'tap on the entrance door', then 'double tap on the table'. fuck off, it's a pc game, click is the word you're looking for. and they found it at some point, because 'right click to zoom out' (right tap would've been a new low). this is also necessary functionality in these games, glad it works (xs games only added it to their 5th game or so). the inventory tutorial mumbles about tapping the back button again but right click works there too. items can be examined and combined, dragging only, can't click to pick up, click to place. sadly, the mouse cursor is static, doesn't change over hotspots, always a dealbreaker. there's a lot of clicking around as is, double-clicking even, and again, we're on pc, not a shitty phone that can't handle a proper cursor and mouse functionality. the hint system can be a bit aggressive. writing hints and translating them takes some effort, so they went with the button sometimes instantly doing the next step. not all bad, zooming out from the current screen can be enough to look elsewhere. other times arrows indicate necessary action and mini-games (like that tower thing on level 3) can be skipped. I assume achievements are for going through the game but none unlocked for me. might be for no-hint completion. didn't skip anything until the final rotary puzzle but had to alleviate the cursor issue somehow. don't care either way, just mentioning it in case it happens to somebody else. overall it still plays a lot better than all the xs games I've tried (half the demos wouldn't even start, great job), but with a static cursor I can't give it a thumbs up. I don't mind short games (and it's a dick move to refund one after finishing it just because you wanted it to last longer, like this moron), but the other games in the series are meatier (and pricier). tried the demo of the second one, same everything (except no tapping anymore) and I won't put up with a static cursor for an extended period of time, so this is where we part ways.

I enjoyed this one. It wasn't terribly difficult, at all, really. I did stop a few times because I had trouble with the controls in one part. I ended up using my touchscreen for that part. The mouse was just freaking it out. Otherwise though it was fun. No where near as in depth as the Room games, but fun anyway. :) Definitely recommended.
