Tales from the Borderlands Reviews

I know that the Borderlands series has fallen off in popularity and that a lot of the comedic style of earlier entries didn't age well, but I really enjoyed this game when I played it and found it mostly funny, even if it was trying to contrive comedy sometimes instead of letting it happen organically.

Playability / Enjoyment 8/10 Graphics / Sound 6/10 Woke / ESG score 2/10 Story / Writing 9/10 Replayability 5/10 Surprisingly enjoyable as I am not into point and click games, but the story, writing and voice acting were excellent, and the time limited answering was fun. It is worth playing just to get some of the back story to the final Borderlands 2 DLC and Borderlands 3 characters. Pleasantly surprised there was not much wokeness considering the 2k games after number Borderlands 2. Shame they didn't use the writers for Borderlands 3 and Wonderlands. They would have been much better if they did.

For the love of anything buy this game, play this game, and engross yourself in this game. This is some of the highest peaks of the entire borderlands franchise and you're doing yourself a disservice if you've not played it yet. PLAY. THIS. GAME.

Avid borderlands fan, I’ve played through this story many times. I’ve played all the games in the series many times, WHY DID THEY DO THIS TO MY BOY?! I loved the story, I wish we got to find out more about the ending. I have so many questions. So many things unanswered.

Très bien. Très bonne impression pendant tout le jeu et sur les séquences finales. C'est prenant, ce genre de jeu très narratif. L'ambiance est bien équilibrée entre émotion, humour au second degré, suspense. Et bien restituée des Borderlands. Quelques choix un peu dimensionnants. Un moment très agréable.

this game was way more enjoyable than i thought it'd be. but i guess that was just the power of borderlands' writing during this period. i usually like writing long, genuine reviews for games i really wanna talk about, but don't even know how much i can say without spoiling things, this game is heavily reliant on its story, after all. idk buddy, just play it, you might enjoy it more than you expect. The BEST telltale game I've ever played. Absolutely loved this from start to finish. Great characters who you will care about and become invested in . Engaging dialogue and plenty of humour along with some tearful moments too. Overall...great writing, art style and a cool soundtrack to go with it. A must buy for any fan of Borderlands and/or Telltale Games.

Genuinely fantastic and arguabley the best Telltale game ever made (and I say this as someone who adores the walking dead season 1 game) Stacked cast, awesome story, fantastic music and filled with the good parts of Borderlands' humor. Being a Borderlands fan helps with a lot of the references and such but you don't need to have played any of them prior to this game. It was quite refreshing seeing fleshed out characters with their own progression as this can be rare in the franchise apart from some exceptions Loaderbot is the GOAT, every scene he's in is a joy
