A great game. While the story is simple, the cast of characters were a joy to see and talk to. The back half of the game really stuck the landing for me and I was pleasantly surprised at the ways the drink mixing mechanic was utilised. I wish I got more time with Will...!!!

Wonderful game!! It serves great and pretty Lovecraftian vibes and the story develops a big cast surprisingly well. Like this cast is BIG but every member has memorable character designs and stories which helps a lot with the fun drink-making mechanic! I had a lot of fun guessing orders, seeing new sides to the characters depending on the drink, and also replaying to see all the reactions! Which drink you give a character can affect their ending/path but I'm happy to say that while there are best endings, you can't actually, actively fuck up anyone's life! The main duo is not included~ These ending variations really make replaying the game super enjoyable and worth it too. I'm pretty used to Lovecraftian-inspired games that deal with both serious themes and also have a lot of absurd and wholesome comedy so this was SUPER up my alley. This is an easy game to 100% achievements + find those mysterious materials and drink after 1 playthrough so if you're worried about that, it's super fine! Just be sure to explore wherever you can (and this game has a surprising amount of quirky NPCs aside from the main cast too!) If you're a fan of VA11-HALL-1A, this game has a ton of likeability!! I hope you all get to the very end of the game... you're my oshi, Migo-chan!!

Very disappointing. The characters, plot, writing, everything was very shallow. I thought from the demo that the game would get good, but it doesn't. It never goes anywhere. I was never given a reason to care about any of the characters. It's also an extremely short game for the price. This game is not worth your time at all. The only thing I liked was the art.

Absolutely really great! Really amazing game. The story while straightforward, I still enjoyed it through the end! The characters, soundtrack, arts are a fantastic and horrifyingly mashedterpiece of cozy, but at the same time, cute, but also rollercoaster emotion ride, Cthulhu mystery cafe, with some funny moments, and as well cool ones. I did benefit from playing one of the related games, and also recognized one character on this game. So yeah. Also enjoyed finding secrets as well, and really proud of getting 100% in this. While there might be few flaws, but only miniscule, it doesn't stop me from rating this of range 9/10 to 10/10. Absolutely really great translation from the translator as well, so kudos.

Follows the usual RPGmaker story beats with a slowly unraveling mystery. Also notable are the sudden tonal shifts that honestly ruin the immersion at times (
like a comic-relief boss fight near the end
). However, despite its flaws, the feeling that this is a passion project remains constantly clear—something that is also common with RPGmaker titles. With phenomenal art and a soothing soundtrack, I'm happy to have taken part in Cafe DReAMLAND's story.

100% completed. A nice cozy game and ultimately a passion project where the creator clearly enjoyed putting their tastes in it, so it's quite inspiring in that regard. The story is not especially deep, but it has its fair of emotional moments. Its main themes are stories & escapism ; most of the characters are briefly based on creatures of Cthulhu mythos or got some traits related to them. Speaking of, the cast is super charming, and it's neat to learn how they're all loosely or closely tied to each other. There's gotta be one who targets the tastes of anyone easily ! Special mention to the two wholesome cross-dressers of the cast, the mischevious but blunt kemonomimi boy Miset, and the relaxed mage Nobie, who are both very cute and refreshing as members of their archetype (it's neat to see gender non-conforming guys get respected as such). Though my personal favourite would be Naraku, local priest devoted to corruption and spreading evil. I also really liked Haru and Maya, their relationship is very sweet. It's basically a dialogue-based VN, though it has a bit of "puzzle" gameplay through guessing which drinks to make and serving them to who. The drinks are all very cute and colorful ; I want to try tasting an equivalent of the Gold-Mead Lemonade now... Finally the soundtrack and graphics are great. Metoko-san's art is colorful and very vivid, which gives a distinct aesthetic to the entire game, with a lot of blue, purple and pink (I like how many characters got different colors in their eyes or hair). The pixel art style used for the sprites and drinks also blends itself well with the cute artworks. It gives a good dreamy impression !
