Hacky is an interesting take on the roguelike genre as a whole; utilizing typing as a core mechanic and a handful of familiar command-line functions for navigation, it's surprisingly addictive and somewhat arcade-like. I'll be playing this a lot when my brain needs to take a vacation from the more difficult 'hacking' games, but I still want familiar vibes in a more action-oriented setting. Definitely recommended!

A great little puzzle game that gives the player the illusion that they're hacking through going through a series of mini-games. As you progress you'll gain currency that allows you to purchase better operating systems and hacking commands that will give you options to better suite your play style. For example, one operating system rewards people who are fast at typing, another rewards careful planning through the placing of "back doors". The game is well balanced and has a retro DOS style. If you're not a fan of certain looks e.g. monitor scan lines, you have the option of turning these options off. A great little game that can run on a potato that makes you feel like you're part of the cast of Hackers from 1995.
