Step into the timeless world of Intellivision's iconic hit, Astrosmash! Relive the excitement of the golden age of gaming with this addictive, fast-paced shooter that has captivated players for generations. If you never have played this, it's the one all your old boomer friends have been telling you about for the last 4 years! This game brought many children to the radio shack to pick up a intellivsion back in the day.
Do you like shooting? You can do it here!
Do you like amazing sound effects? You got it!
This is a dream come true to many next level gamers and retro bothers!
Unity for all retro-kind! Maybe we'll hear these sweet sounds at the next VGL.
I tried this game on my laptop and it ran great! Using my xbox controller I was able to get right into the game. You can't configure the keys in the game which kind of stinks, but steam controller config will let you remap them at least on Deck. Yes, this amazing game runs on the Steam deck! The default controller setup uses the trigger to shoot, X to teleport left or right and B to reset the game. The steam deck seems a little laggy on shooting. I'm not sure if that's because of proton or what. There doesn't seem to be a native Linux port here. That would be a bonus if there was one.
Would I recommend this game? No, it's simply too expensive for what you get and it's not deck verified and there is no configuration options. if this was 2 bucks and had more configuration options, I would consider it, but I am going to have to refund for now. I hope the developer gives these game a little TLC in the future.
