I bought this game on a whim just because it looked interesting and can say Breecell adds a twist to puzzle games that I have never experienced before. In order to get score and clear cells you have to form a square with the cells, this is familiar to something like Puyo Puyo where you have to match four to clear or Columns match three to clear, the twist comes with the fact that unlike those games, Breecell doesn't let you move the cells.
The cells will fall from the top of the screen and the only action you can perform on them at this point is to click on them which in turn forms more cells in the corresponding direction that is indicated on that cell. For example if the cell has a horizontal line and you click it, a new horizontal cell will form on the left and right of that cell.
The game comes with a tutorial to show you the ropes and it is highly recommended that new players do not skip it and play it the first time they pick up Breecell.
Breecell is a fun game worth picking up if you are into puzzle games or looking for a game to nominate for the "Best Game You Suck At Award" because while I find it fun and like to play a quick round here and there, I do indeed suck at it.

Breecell is a colorful falling piece puzzler in the vein of Puyo Puyo, Columns, and Dr. Mario.
In this game the player watches falling cells land into the play area and then clicks on specific cells to multiply them. Cells multiply in the direction indicated on their body.
The goal is to match 4 same-color cells in a 2x2 square, which also destroy any other same-color cells that might extend from the square. The game ends when the play area is completely filled with cells.
What separates Breecell from similar games is the inability to control the falling cells. Instead, the player must take action on the cells in play, carefully choosing which ones to multiply.
I found out about this game from a Twitter post. I thought the art was appealing and I was attracted to the laboratory/research theme of the game.
As of this writing, there are 2 modes: an endless mode and a harder genkai mode with a smaller play area.
The music is nice and the graphics are colorful. I see a lot of visual similarities to the Puyo Puyo Tetris series although for me personally Breecell looks and sounds a lot more appealing.
Breecell is a great time and I think fans of the genre will enjoy the new twists it offers. A few extras or additional modes could really elevate it to the top of the genre but for the asking price I can't complain. There is a lot of potential here and I hope the developer continues with this series.
