I will preface this review by saying I was the main playtester for this game (the MaNemaJeff guy in the credits), but I did pay for this game and I will give it my honest opinion.
This game is best described as Frogger with RPG elements. Graphics and sound effects are simple, cute and mostly fitting. There were a few cases where I wasn't sure what I was looking at, like the third boss, but it's not a big deal. Overall, good pixel art.
Game's on the difficult side, with times to get Perfect on a lot of levels being very tight. The controls mostly live up to the precision required, but don't expect something as tight as ULTRAKILL.
AI was used for music, which is fine, though I am not the biggest fan of selling the soundtrack separately.
The RPG elements are fairly basic. The active skills is where a good bit of creativity can be found, alongside some oppotunities for skill expresion (like jumping over walls using the lick attack).
The variety in enemy design is also pretty good, especially considering the constraints of a Frogger game.
For a first game, with basically no budget as far as I know, this is a solid pick for an evening or 2.
Well worth the little asking price!
